Filed Under PASTOR WORLEY’S WRITINGS (EXCERPTS), #8 INVITING DEMONIC ATTACK

Many people endorse so-called “Christian Rock” or “Jesus Rock.” I am forced to disagree. Because rock music is deeply rooted in the occult rhythms and demon worship ceremonies of the Eastern mystery religions it is innately evil and demon laden. We should beware of contact with it lest we be cursed. We have fought with many rock and roll demons to free their captives and have heard their vile rejection of Jesus Christ and anything sacred. I shake my head in amazement. Where does the discernment lie in Christian leaders who would endorse anything so plainly linked with evil?

A demon recently dealt with gloated that young people in many places were still in bondage because the demons had them bound in “Christian” rock. He cackled as he ridiculed the unguarded gullibility of pastors and youth leaders who are so ignorant as to think that because the lyrics are religious that the music is good.

He related gleefully that evil spirits were able to enter into the bodies of young people at a large Christian youth rally in Chicago because of the rock music which was played. He described the enjoyment and the strength he and the other demons received at such a performance.

The demon also thoroughly enjoyed certain gospel quartets with their emphasis on throbbing, beat music. He enjoyed hearing them since in the guise of religious gospel music, many people were being infiltrated by spirits. Angrily he vetoed the music at our church (traditional hymns and strongly evangelical songs and choruses), and said it made him sick and he could get no enjoyment from it. He constantly affirmed that the beat, not the words, was important to the winning of dominance by the spirits.

To the intelligently spiritual individual, there can be no question that the rock music represents a broad invasion of American life by a thoroughly demonic philosophy. It comes under the convenient guise of the popular music of the day! How unwise it is, then, to blur the line between what belongs to the Lord and what belongs to the devil by borrowing from the rock culture.

Rock music, no matter what guise it assumes, is satanic in its origin and is off limits for the Christian who wants to stay clean for the Lord. As always, on matters of importance, the Word of God has clear cut teaching on what is right and edifying. Here is some that applies to music:

Psalm 40:3 “And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: Many shall see it and fear and shall trust in the Lord.”

Acts 16:25 “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.”

Psalm 104:33,34 “I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My mediation of Him shall be sweet.” . .

An outstanding feature of rock music is the unprecedented emphasis it gives to rhythmic beat. This overemphasis on rhythm can have a devastating, hypnotic effect on listeners. The extremely high volume of electronically amplified rock music has actually damaged hearing permanently in some cases.

Former Rock and Roll musician Bob Larson analyzes the music: “By its very beat and sound it has always implicitly rejected restraints and celebrated freedom and sexuality. With its repetition, pulsated and syncopated rhythms, rock and roll numbs the senses and induces a state of moral oblivion. the beat of rock, with amplified intensity, encourages a feeling of complete abandonment of accepted social behavior.

“The electronic insistence of guitars accompanied by the neurotic throbbing of drums compels the shedding of inhibitions. The cacophonous sound of rock, often performed beyond the auditory threshold of pain, literally assaults the listener and immerses him in a physically sensuous experience. In this condition his mind is easy prey for the lyrics of rock songs!”

“The lyrics ridicule religion and make mockery of that which is sacred. They glorify promiscuous sex and invite immediate and complete physical and emotional self-indulgence. They promote hallucinogenic drugs and advocate the supposed euphoria of marijuana….change, wildness, sexual freedom and rebellion against all civil and moral authority.”

Hagee reports that “Much of the music being produced today lends itself exclusively to the drug culture. Rock festivals held in cow pastures with nothing to offer but noise and drugs are a smashing success….Many performers….live openly immoral lives. These acid-head freaked-out purveyors of pornography perform with cheap theatricalism and blatant sexual exhibitionism…”

Larson correctly states, “Unlike the spoken word which must be mentally translated to be interpreted, music can affect one on a physical level….Rock is the first popular music ever written, not to be heard, but to be felt. Consequently it must be amplified at high volume levels. It actually provides a tactile sensation to the human body. It is not the melody line or the chromatic arrangement of the chords that is important, but rather the beat that is absolutely essential to rock and roll.”

“This music does not breed contentment but revolution and destruction of self. Self destruction of any description is the hallmark of satanic ministry….The mesmerizing music and the use of drugs to escape into a fantasy world opens the human body and mind to a dimension beyond its capacity to endure. The end result is physical ruin and emotional disorders medical science cannot cure.”

Much of rock music deliberately glorifies drugs and drugs have been a way of life for many rock heroes. Recently they were a way of death for rock singer Janis Joplin and, perhaps indirectly, for Jimi Hendrix.

Alex Lackey observes, “such songs on sex as `Let’s Do It In The Road,’ ‘Light My Fire,’ ‘Let’s Spend The Night Together,’ `Wet Dream Over You,’ and `Group Grope,’ are common on the record and song-hit music market. Examples of others that are intended to break down moral barriers, and lead to experimenting in drugs are: `Rainy Day Woman’ (rain refers to heroin). `Buy For Me Rain,’ `Colored Rain,’ `Blue Cheer’ (LSD), `Bend Me, Shape Me,’ `Magic Carpet Ride.’

“In the recording ‘The End,’ produced by a group known as The Doors, a youth is described approaching his parents’ room saying: ‘Father,’ ‘Yes, Son.’ ‘Father, I want to kill you.’ The statement concerning his intentions for his mother would be unprintable. A member of another group, The Mothers Of Invention, has stated that a teenager can get the same effect from music that he can from dope. The groups frankly admit that their music pushes narcotics and illicit sex.”

“Rock bands say that they know they can cause a riot any time they want to. John Phillips, of the Mamas and the Papas, admitted that `by carefully controlling the sequence of rhythms, anybody can create audience hysteria.’ Other groups boast that they can, at will, `turn on the chicks.’ Admittedly, this is followed by drinking, smoking pot, and illicit sex.”

Filed Under PASTOR WORLEY’S WRITINGS (EXCERPTS), #8 INVITING DEMONIC ATTACK

As a Charismatic Baptist Church, we do have a few distinctions which differ from practices followed by other congregations who are charismatic. One is that we do not clap our hands in our song services. I do not seek to legislate nor dictate to other assemblies, but offer the following as food for thought.

In visits to other churches who used songs with which I was unfamiliar, I strained to hear the words and music and thus share in the message. Instead, more often than not, the message was blotted out or garbled by enthusiastic clapping. Those who did not know the songs were left with very little melody and practically no words that could be understood.

All we got was the thumping, drumming rhythm of a beat, reinforced and overemphasized by the clapping. I got the urge to pat my feet. However, I knew that music which moves your feet and not your heart has far less to do with joy in the Lord than with bodily sensations and can be dangerous.

I also remembered what I learned when researching voodoo, Hindu and African rituals and direct Satan worship. Rhythmic and often dissonant beating of instruments and clapping were always incorporated in the preliminary phase of opening up people’s minds and bodies to receive evil spirits. This same thing happens at rock concerts.

Let me say that I had no adverse reaction when people leaped and clapped their hands or clapped their hands and praised the Lord; only when it was coupled with and overshadowed the music I found it distracting and disturbing.

At one such service I witnessed two new babes in Christ, recently saved and delivered from rock music, going into almost hypnotic weaving as they swayed and clapped with the beat-beat-beat of the music. A look came over them that was not of the Lord. It was an excitement I had seen often in many demonized persons.

Glancing around I saw others in the assembly in the same condition. I remembered the deceitfulness of Satan and the alarm bells went off in my mind. The devil had slipped in through a singing group who thought they were doing service to God. Satan was actually recapturing captives who had been released. Because he was doing it in the name of religion, no one suspected what was happening.

Following one such service we visited, we had to pray for several of our young people who had developed splitting headaches during the musical program. Those who are newly delivered from devilish music can be super-sensitive to such things. Simply observe the swaying, sensual movements accompanying many of these sessions. It becomes entirely clear that this stimulation is earthly, sensual and devilish. We need to recognize this most clever counterfeit as it slips in to mock and steal away glory from the Lord Jesus Christ.

I went home, took out my concordance and looked up the word “clap” in all its forms. I was surprised to find how few times the word even occurred in the Bible. I had assumed, as I am sure others have, that it was mentioned many times in the Scripture.

I ran the references. After discarding those which had nothing to do with worship or which personified inanimate objects, I only had half the references left. In the few verses which were actually associated with praising and worshiping the Lord, there was a notable omission. Not one single reference coupled clapping with singing. Not even one!

Of the nine verses which speak of clapping, five show instances in which it was done in derision and scorn. See Nahum 3:19 and Job 34:37 for examples of this. Two are personifications of inanimate objects, (Psalm 98:8; Isaiah 55:12). One tells of a response to the crowning of a king (II Kings 11:12).

Only one involves people praising the Lord, and that is by clapping with shouting, not with music. Certainly our wise God arranged the scriptures. Suppose that this omission is because of the very real danger that rhythm would dominate the message, harmony and melody of music, and thereby produce sensuality rather than spirituality?

Sensuality is the effect when rhythm and beat are overemphasized. Music is not given to us for that, but to convey joyous worship in the words, with a melody to carry them to the heart! Singing can be up tempo, joyful, exuberant, but unobscured by a beat that unduly propels or overwhelms it. Let those who have accepted rock in a “Christian” mask ask, “Will that which I allow ultimately become a source of bondage or a stumbling block for those who follow and look up to me as an older Christian?”

Try the song services without clapping and see how they are. At least be sure that the sound and intensity of clapping are kept moderate and below the level of the melody and the message. It will be surprising how much more of the content of the songs will come through. The Holy Spirit can use this content to minister powerfully to a variety of needs in the congregation.

The whole rock music scene is filled with pitfalls for young people, including young believers. Some may insist that we have liberty to use rock tempos without danger. Paul warns that our liberty must not become an occasion for stumbling to our weaker brothers: “But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to them that are weak” (I Corinthians 8:9).

Can it be that demonic influences have crept in right under our noses to steal away the clarity and distinctiveness of our victory over the devil and all of his works? In this he must be discovered, lest he craftily cheapen and spoil the finest things of worship and praise. In their purest state these things are full of power to lift men and lead them to vital godliness. What the enemy is unable to do by direct attack, let us be equally sure that he is unable to do by infiltration!

“Rockin’ Down The Highway to Hell” by Rev. Plont.

The following men are some of the key popple that satan has used in his strategy to destroy the multitudes through rock and roll.

Aleister Crowley – GUILTY
Alexander Edward “Aleister” Crowley was born in England on October 12, 1875. Yet, still today he has a tremendous effect on rock and roll music. Aleister Crowley is referred to as the founding father of modern satanism. He was known to practice ritual child sacrifice regularly” in support of his role as devil’s high priest.

Below is a quote of Crowley’s
“That religion they call Christianity; the devil they honor they call God…it is their God and their religion that I HATE and will Destroy.”

…Crowley is connected to the Black Crowes, Marilyn Manson, Mudvayne, David Bowie, 311, Darryl Hall, Sting, Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin, the Doors, the Rolling Stones, and the Beatles.

Kenneth Anger – GUILTY

The second subject I want to present into evidence is a follower of Aleister Crowley named Kenneth Anger. Like Aleister Crowley, Anger is a satanic priest or “Magus.” Anger was only 17 when Crowley died in 1947, but he was already making films that “which even by today’s standards, reek of pure evil.”

Anger was in London working on a film called Lucifer Rising. It was dedicated to Aleister Crowley. The film fielded a team of very key people. It included players from the Process Church, the Rolling Stones and the Charles Manson family cult. Any guesses as to who composed the music for the film? It was Mick Jagger. Oh, the cast gets better. The part of Lucifer was played by Bobby Beausoleil. Beausoleil was a member of Charles Manson’s gang and reportedly Anger’s homosexual lover.

A few months into the film, Beausoleil returned to California to carry out the first of the Manson family murders. He was later arrested, and is now serving time with his leader, Charles Manson. With his lover gone, Anger chose Anton LaVey, the author of The Satanic Bible and the head of the First Church of Satan, to play Lucifer. The filmed was released in 1969 with a different title. It was called ‘Invocation to My Demon Brother.’

In 1967, while under the influence of Anger and the Process Church, the Rolling Stones released their first album giving praise to their god, titled Their Satanic Majesties Request. The album cover pictures a tarot card designed by Crowley.

Timothy Leary – GUILTY

The next subject of discussion is Timothy Leary. Timothy Leary was a Harvard psychologist and professor. He preached that spiritual “enlightenment” could be obtained through the use of the drug LSD.

Leary had a powerful effect on people of his generation. He stated himself, “My crime is the ancient and familiar one of corrupting the minds of youth. This charge is a valid one.” Leary was charismatic and a gifted speaker, and he used these talents to attract many followers. He even described himself as a “forty-year-old, smart-aleck, atheist Harvard professor.” Eventually, his outlandish behavior caught up with him and he was fired by Harvard. Before this time, he had been handing out LSD to his Harvard student volunteers.

Any guesses whom Leary was a follower of? Leary was also a very serious follower of Aleister Crowley. On PBS’s Late Night America, Leary admitted to being an “admirer” of Crowley, and Leary believed he was carrying on Crowley’s work: “Well I’ve been an admirer of Aleister Crowley. I think that I’m carrying on much of the work that he started over a hundred years ago… He was in favor of finding yourself, and ‘Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law’ under love. It was a very powerful statement. I’m sorry he isn’t around now to appreciate the glories he started.”

Leary expressed that “do whatever you want attitude.” And he made plans to spread his “knowledge across the world. Leary set out to do this using the tool of rock and roll. He influenced John Lennon, Jefferson Airplane, The Grateful Dead and Jimi Hendrix, to name a few. He stated “…I rejoice to see our culture being taken over by joyful young messiahs who dispel our fears and charm us back into the pagan dance of harmony.”

…Leary actually talked about God becoming incarnate in a particular band. He said, “He has come back as “…the four sided mandala — The Beatles. The means by which to spread the new gospel — music. The sacrament — drugs.” John Lennon used Leary’s translation of The Tibetan Book of the Dead for the lyrics in the 1966 release “Tomorrow Never Knows.”

One year later came the album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. All Music Guide claimed the Beatles’ album Sgt. Pepper “will forever be known as the recording that changed rock and roll.” Time magazine said, Sgt. Pepper was “drenched in drugs.” The cover of the Beatle’s Sgt. Pepper album shows the band with a backdrop of several people. Ringo Starr was quoted in Hit Parader magazine in October 1976 as saying, they are people “we like and admire.” Paul McCartney was also quoted in describing the cover as “…we were going to have photos on the wall of all our HEROS…”

There are many infamous people in the picture including four Hindu priests and a man named Aldous Huxley. Second from the left, on the top row, is Aleister Crowley. Many people at that time did not even know who Aleister Crowley was, but the Beatles did. Chances are, you did not know who he was. He was a BABY MURDERER, and the Beatles considered him a hero. The Beatles were devout followers of Crowley. Beatle Lennon says in an interview, the “whole idea of the Beatles” was Crowley’s infamous “do what thou wilt.” “The whole Beatle idea was to do what you want, right? To take your own responsibility, do what you want and try not to harm other people, right? DO WHAT THOU WILST, as long as it doesn’t hurt somebody…”

Aldous Huxley – GUILTY

Enter subject four. Aldous Huxley. Aldous Huxley (1894-1963) was a well-known British writer. His books are currently used in the California public school system. What Huxley might not be as well-known for is his experimentation with psychotropic drugs. He supported their use as a “tool of enlightenment.”

One of his writings is called “The Doors of Perception and Heaven and Hell.” It is considered by some to be a classic of psychedelic literature. Approximately ten years after its release, The Doors became the name of a band.

The Doors’ Keyboardist Ray Manzarek had the following quote about his band: “At the time, we had been ingesting a lot of psychedelic chemicals, so the doors of perception were cleansed in our minds, and we saw the music as a vehicle to, in a sense, become proselytizers of a new religion, a religion of self, of each man as God. That was the original idea behind The Doors…”

Jim Morrison, former lead singer for the rock group the Doors, died mysteriously on July 3, 1971. Morrison was involved in the occult. He and his wife were married at a Wicca ceremony. During the ceremony, the two stood in a pentagram and drank each other’s blood.

Morrison once gave reference to the fact that satan was responsible for his thoughts and possibly his music. He stated, “I met the Spirit of Music…An appearance of the devil in a Venice canal. Running, I saw a Satan, or Satyr, moving beside me, a fleshy shadow of my secret mind…”

On the back cover of The Doors’ album entitled 13 is a picture of the group gathered around a bust of one Aleister Crowley.

Huxley ingested psilocybin mushrooms with a man named Timothy Leary. Leary recalls one of the times in the following statement: “Huxley’s eyes were closed. Suddenly he clapped his hands. ‘Your role is quite simple. Become a cheerleader for evolution. That’s what I did and my grandfather before me. These braindrugs will bring about vast changes in society. We (must)…spread the word. The obstacle to this evolution, Timothy, is the Bible.’ ”

Anton Lavey – GUILTY

The fourth and final person in this group that we are going to talk about is the former leader of the Church of Satan and the writer of The Satanic Bible, Anton LaVey, who is now also deceased.

“Anton Szandor Lavey (1930-1997), like Charles Manson, Timothy Leary, and other messianic pop gurus, was a notorious figure of the 1960s subculture of the social experiment.” He served as the high priest for the Church of Satan and is the professed author of The Satanic Bible. One-third of The Satanic Bible was taken directly from one of Aleister Crowley’s writings called The Equinox. Proper attribution was not given to Crowley by LaVey.

No one described the essence of the free love `60s better then LaVey and the Church of Satan. LaVey admitted that Satanism is simply a worshiping of one’s self when he stated: “This is a very selfish religion. We believe in greed, we believe in selfishness, we believe in all the lustful thoughts that motivate man, because this is man’s natural, uh, feeling.”

The following are a few verses from the Book of Satan and The Satanic Bible: “Free love, in the Satanic concept, means exactly that — freedom to either be faithful to one person or to indulge your sexual desires with as many others as you feel is necessary to satisfy particular needs.” The Satanic Bible, p.66.

“Therefore, the most simplified description of the Satanic belief is: Indulgence instead of abstinence.” The Satanic Bible, p.81.

In a later printing of The Satanic Bible, LaVey’s biographer, Burton H. Wolfe, wrote in the introduction: “Repressed people have burst their bonds. Sex has exploded. The collective libido has been released, in movies and literature, on the streets and in the home. People are dancing topless and bottomless…There is a ceaseless universal quest for entertainment; gourmet foods and wines, enjoyment of the here and now…There is a mood of neopaganism and hedonism, and from it there have emerged a wide variety of brilliant individuals, doctors, lawyers, teachers, engineers, teachers, writers, stockbrokers, realestate developers, actors and actresses, mass communication media people (to cite a few categories of Satanists) who are interested in formalizing and perpetuating this all-pervading religion (Satanism) and way of life.”

Consider this word for word (uh’s included) quote from occult writer Robert Anton Wilson before Aleister Crowley’s death. He “sparked a worldwide revival of paganism.” “Well, in 1918, Crowley, uh, took the great magical oath, which was a serious thing to, uh, Crowley, uh, and he took an oath that he would surrender all of his magical powers that he had achieved until that date, to concentrate his energies, single-pointedly on the one task of, uh, destroying Christianity and, uh, reviving, uh, paganism. And I think, if you look around the world, it’s pretty obvious that Crowley has been, uh, a remarkable success. Paganism had made a big comeback, in an organized way. Neopagan groups, in an unorganized way, our whole society has become more pagan.”

My mediation of Him shall be sweet.” . .

Aleister Crowley (d. 1940’s) – The most highly regarded Satanist of this century. He sought to establish the “new age.” Confessions of Aleister Crowley, his autobiography, p.67, “I accepted the theology of the Plymouth brethren, in fact, I could hardly conceive of any existence of people who might doubt it. I simply went over to Satan’s side and to this hour I cannot tell why…I was not content to believe in a personal devil and serve him in the ordinary sense of the word. I wanted to get a hold of him personally and become his chief of staff.”

Aleister Crowley was out of France and considered the wickedest man on earth in his day. He had admitted to human sacrifices. He said the best sacrifice is a child. He wrote, “Sacrifice cattle, little and big: after a child.” This is who influences rock stars, which influence the world. Crowley is the patron saint of rock stars.

In 1904, Crowley received “The Book of the Law” from spiritual (demonic) guidance. He was the mouthpiece for a spirit, which he later identifies as Satan. The Book of the Law maps out the future of the New Age. The things he speaks about were not popular in 1904, but are popular now. A chapter in this book is called “The New Aeon” (Aeon is Greek for age). Crowley was pushing the New Age in 1904 (pub. in 1909). P. 17, “How the new Aeon (age) of Horus (another name for Satan) will develop, how the child will grow up, these are for us to determine, growing up ourselves in the way of the Law of Thelema under the enlightened guidance of the Master Therion.” Therion in the Bible is the Greek word for “beast.” At the end of Crowley’s book, Therion = 666.

The Law of Thelema – “This book lays down a simple Code of Conduct. Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. Love is the law, love under will. There is no law beyond, Do what thou wilt.” (Love is added to just make it sound good. However, love is destroyed when you do what you will). (The pastor’s note.)

The eye of Horus (single eye atop the pyramid) was used in the “Book of the Law.” The dollar bill has the word Annuit Coeptus Novis Ordo Seclorum surrounding this symbol. This means, “announcing the birth of the new order of the ages.” FDR was influenced by the Masons to place the great seal on the dollar bill. The official magazine of the Masons is called, “The New Age Magazine.”

Crowley wrote of the new age, “Hemetic Science or Occult Knowledge, the Secret of Mystic Attainment, Yoga of all forms, Ghana Yoga, Raja Yoga, Bhakts Yoga, and Hatha Yoga and all other branches of the secret Wisdom of the Ancients…Moreover it possesses a Secret capability of realizing the world old dream of the Brotherhood of Man.”

1950’s – Elvis Presley claimed he was possessed or in contact with a spirit. “If I Could Dream” by Larry Geller, Elvis’ hairstylist, wrote, “(from the song, “If I Could Dream”) ‘the initiation of the world, she speaks of a group of spiritual masters called the White Brotherhood*, whose job it is to oversee human affairs.’ Elvis believed he was working under the agency of these masters…Elvis’ mind and life was being directed by the Brotherhood of Masters and the Illuminated beings, the enlightened entities that existed since time and memorial, and he truly felt he was chosen to be here now as a modern day Savior, as a Christ.”

Elvis sang gospel songs, but he was singing about a new age Jesus. Geller also writes, “He didn’t believe that Jesus was the only begotten Son of God. He thought that all people had Christ in them and the same potential…Elvis’ conception of Jesus Christ differed from Jesus depicted by modern Christianity.”

Elvis had 100’s of books on the occult. He was most interested in Madam Blavatsky who started the Theosophical Society in 1875, and was into Satanism and the occult. Theosophy influenced Aleister Crowley to a degree. (Side note – Crowley was born in 1875 also.)

From the book “Elvis” by Albert Goldman, “The particular tradition of spiritualism from which Elvis got his writings was that of Blavatsky’s…he quoted from her on stage.” The pastor says he believes no one would have ever heard of Elvis as rock star if he were not demon possessed.

This is what Blavatsky said about Jehovah God, “Jehovah was a jealous, repenting, cruel, tribal God of Israel.” She said of Satan, “And now it stands proven that Satan, or the Red Fury Dragon, ‘the lord of phosphorous’ and Lucifer or light bearer,’ is in us. And in our Mind — our tempter and redeemer, our intelligent liberator and savior from pure animalism.”

Geller writes, “Elvis had formed a male backup vocal trio and named them “The New Age.” Since the marquee couldn’t accommodate the full name, they became known as “The Voice.” (p.82) He called them the Voice after Madame Blavatsky’s book The Voice of Silence. (She claims a spirit dictated this to her.)

Anton LeVey, Satanist who wrote The Satanic Bible. One of the names of a chapter in this book is called, “Some Evidence of a New Satanic Age.” P. 33, “1. Life is the great indulgence – death, the great abstinence. Therefore, make the most of life – Here and Now! 2. There is no heaven of glory bright, and no hell where sinners roast. Here and now is our day of torment! Here and now is our day of joy! Here and now is our opportunity! Choose ye this day, this hour, for no redeemer liveth. 3. Say unto thine own heart, ‘I am mine own redeemer.’”

Elvis Presley in lyrics to one of his songs says, “As long as a man has the strength to dream he can redeem his soul and fly.” Elvis goes on to sing in the song how his brothers will be walking hand and hand and also about self-redemption.

Jerry Lee Lewis, when producing “Great Balls of Fire,” told his producer, “I’m possessed by the devil,” (Rock and Roll Babylon by Gary Herman).

Little Richard in “Little Richard” (autobiography) says, “I was directed and commanded by another power; the power of darkness, the power you’ve heard so much about, the power nobody believes exists. The power of the devil, Satan. We must realize there is a force fighting against us in this world. The devil is controlling our minds and directing our lives.”

Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Little Richard were the top three selling artists of the 1950’s.

1960’s – Crowley wrote how the new age would bring about free sex and free drugs. Through spiritual guidance he wrote in “The Book of the Law,” “I am the Snake that giveth bright glory, and stir the hearts of men with drunkenness. To worship me take wine and strange drugs whereof I will tell my prophet and be drunk thereof! They shall not harm ye at all.”

The editor of Playboy from 1967-1971 was Robert Anton Wilson. He was the heart of the hippie movement and a follower of Aleister Crowley. He also wrote, “Cosmic Trigger – The Final Secret of the Illuminati.” He writes how Timothy Leary thought he was sent to fulfill what Crowley had started. “In Switzerland during his exile, Leary was shown a deck of Crowley’s tarot cards. To test his divinatory power he asked who am I and what is my destiny. Then he cut to a single card and got the ace of disc. This shows a large disc bearing the Greek letter “tomake atherion” (this is spelled phonetically, I have no idea how to spell what he said). Therion is the great beast. “Leary interpreted this to mean he is Crowley reborn and is suppose to complete the work Crowley began, preparing humanity for cosmic consciousness.”

The musical “Hair” had songs entitled, “Age of Aquarius,” “Sodomy,” “LSD.” Crowley taught sodomy as a mystical rite. He also wrote in his book, “Every man and every woman is a star…This means that each of us stars is to move on our true orbit, as marked out by the nature of our position.” This is astrology prohibited in the Bible.

Jimi Hendrix believed he was possessed by devils. Alan Douglas, a former friend who now runs Jimi’s estate said, “Now one of the biggest things about Jimmy was what he believe and he believed that he was possessed by some spirit and I got to believe it myself. And that’s what we had to deal with all the time.” His former live in girlfriend, Fain Priggen said, “He used to always talk about some devil, something was in him. He didn’t have any control over it. He didn’t know why he acted the way he acted or say the things he said. Songs and different things would just come out of him. I used to think it was a cop-out. He would just cry. It seemed to me he was so tormented, torn apart. He was really obsessed with evil.”

Jimi Hendrix explains in his biography that his album, “Acts as Bold as Love,” is a turning from the old age to the new. On the album cover Eastern mysticism is represented.

Jim Morrison was also into Aleister Crowley. He had a picture of himself taken with a statue of Crowley.

The name “The Doors” came from Alice Huxley’s book, “The Doors of Perception.” Huxley was a drug mystic who talked about going into different realms through drugs.

Jim Morrison wrote about contacting spirits, “The reaction I get now thinking about it, looking back – is that the souls of the ghosts of those dead Indians…maybe one or two of ‘em were just running around, freaking out, and just leaped into my soul. And they’re still there.”

Lyrics to The Doors song, “When the Music Ends”

“Well the music is your only friend
Dance on Fire as it intends
Music is your only friend
Until the end…
Cancel my subscription to the Resurrection
Send my credentials to the house of detention.”

The Lost Writings of Jim Morrison

“In that year there was an intense visitation of energy.
I left school and went down to the beach to live.
I slept on a roof.
At night the moon became a woman’s face
I met the Spirit of music.
An appearance of the devil on a Venice canal.
Running, I saw a Satan or satyr moving beside me, a fleshy shadow of my secret mind.
Running. Knowing.” (Satanic revelation)

The Doors was created after Morrison had lived on Venice beach.

Ray Manzarek of The Doors said, “Jim Morrison was not a showman, he was a shaman, he was possessed.”

The Rolling Stones in their own Words (a collection of interviews)

Interview with Keith Richards

Q – Do you think of yourselves as servants of Satan?

KR – …Kenneth Anger (wrote Hollywood Babylon and is a follower of Aleister Crowley) told me I was his right hand man. It’s just what you feel. Whether you’ve gotten that good and evil thing together.

Q – Left hand path, right hand path, how far do you want to go down? How far?

KR – Once you start, there’s no turning back. Where it leads is another thing. It’s something everybody ought to explore. There are a lot of possibilities, there are a lot of people having played on it, and it’s inside everybody…Everybody’s Lucifer.

The Beatles Playboy interview with John Lennon

JL – The whole Beatle idea was to do what you want right? To take your own responsibility, do what you want and try not to harm other people, right? Do what thou wilst, as long as it doesn’t hurt somebody.”

Tony Sheridan wrote Lennon and says Lennon told him, “I’ve sold my soul to the devil;” Lennon said of writing music, “It’s like being possessed, it’s like being psychic or a medium.”

“The Lives of John Lennon,” written by Albert Goldman writes on how Yoko Ono went to South America to make a pact with Satan for John’s career. “Finally it was time to consummate all these spells by making a living sacrifice and signing a pact with the devil. For Lena was not a ‘white’ witch. She was the real thing – a practitioner of black magic. There was no knowing what she planned to do to seal the bond with Lucifer. All she would say was that a witch’s moon was nigh and they had to make ready for that sacrifice.”

The reason the title is called “The Lives” is because John said he felt like a hollow temple and one spirit would come and leave and then another would enter.

John Lennon is also quoted with saying the famous line, “We’re more popular than Jesus Christ.” The last part of the quote is usually left out which is, “Christianity will vanish.”

Derick Tater, the press officer for the The Beatles said, “The Beatles completely shock me, they’re completely anti-christ. I’m anti-christ too, but they’re so antichrist it shocks me.”

John Lennon wrote “In His Own Write.” This is how he refers to Jesus Christ, “Jesus wiped his face and turned the other cheese.” (Mocking the teachings of Jesus) His description “…a garlic eating, stinking, little yellow, greasy, fascist bastard.”

From “The Lives of John Lennon,” “Jagger’s radicalism is significant because John Lennon claimed to be as radical as Jagger! Said Lennon, ‘I resent the implications that the Stones are like revolutionists and the Beatles weren’t. If the Stones were or are, the Beatles really were too.’ This is undoubtedly true. Sanchez told about a Beatles and Rolling Stones meeting where they talked long into the night about music and revolution and Chuck Berry and how they were going to change the world.”

Brian Jones (founder of the Rolling Stones), “I believe we’re moving toward a new age in idea and events. Astrologically we are at the end of the age called the Pisces age – at the beginning of which people like Christ were born. We’re soon to begin the age of Aquarius, in which events as important as those at the beginning of Pisces are likely to occur. There’s a young revolution in thought and manner about to take place.” After Jones said this, the Stones came out with Their Satanic Majesties Request. Jagger is dressed as a wizard on the cover and eastern architecture is in the background.

Their “Satanic Majesties Request” was released at the same time as The Beatles “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band.” (On this cover are people who have helped to bring in the new age). Both albums had sitar music and songs about drugs. In the lower right corner of The Beatles album is a doll that is wearing a sweater which says, “Welcome the Rolling Stones – Good Guys.” In the sleeve, hidden in Chinese symbols, is also “Welcome the Rolling Stones – Good Guys, Sgt. Pepper, and Their Satanic Majestie’s Request.” On the Stone’s album in the lower right corner is a picture of John Lennon taken from Sgt. Pepper’s album. And in the lower left corner is a picture of George Harrison. The Beatles said that the people who put in the top row of the picture on the album were their heroes. Aleister Crowley is third from the upper left. Reportedly, Hitler was also on the cover, but Lennon took him off before the album was released.

The Beatles – “Revolution”

In the song the lyrics are written as, “If your talking about destruction, Then you can count me out.” They sing the word out, but right after say “in”.

In Crowley’s “Book of the Law,” he wrote, “Let the scarlet woman beware…44. But let her raise herself in pride! Let her follow me in my way! Let her work the work of wickedness. Let her kill her heart! Let her be covered with jewels and rich garments, and let her be shameless before all men. 45. Then will I lift her pinnacles of power.”

At the bottom of the Beatles’ album is a woman with four arms in red, a Hindu goddess; She is decked in gold and jewels. She is also holding a golden cup in her right hand.

The White Album by The Beatles has a picture of George Harrison with Maharehsi (not sure of spelling) Yogi. They pushed eastern religion and mysticism.

The book “Chant and Be Happy,” a book about Hare Krishna, has a picture of Lennon and Harrison on the cover. Harrison said in this book, “Spreading the mantra throughout the world was part of my spiritual service.”

In the song, “My Sweet Lord,” Harrison admitted to using deception to lure Christians. He said, “Christians have the wrong concept about Christ, he was really a great Yogi. My idea in ‘My Sweet Lord,’ because it sounded like a pop song, was to sneak up on them a bit. The point was to have the people not offended by ‘Halleluiah,’ and by the time it gets to ‘Hare Krishna,’ they’re already hooked and their foot’s tapping and they’re already singing along ‘Halleluiah’ to kind of lull them into a false sense of security. And then suddenly it turns into Hare Krishna and they will all be singing that before they know what’s happened, and they will think, Hey, I thought I wasn’t suppose to like Hare Krishna.”

“Imagine” by John Lennon (lyrics)

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today…

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do.
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too.
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for hunger
A brotherhood of man.
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world.

…I hope you’ll join us and
the world will be as one.

1970’s Led Zeppelin was the biggest band of the ‘70’s. Jimmy Page was an avid follower of Aleister Crowley before joining Led Zeppelin. He even bought Crowley’s mansion. On the third Zeppelin album “Do What Thou Wilt Shall be the Whole of the Law,” was inscribed on the matrix of the first presses of the album.

Led Zeppelin in Their Own Words, Jimmy Page stated, “All of my houses are isolated. Many is the time I just stay home alone. I spend a lot of time near water. Crowley’s home is in Loch Ness, Scotland. There were two or three owners before Crowley moved into it. It was also a church that was burned to the ground with the congregation in it… I feel he’s a misunderstood genius of the twentieth century. Because his whole thing was liberation of the person, of the entity and that restriction would fool you up. He was like an eye to the world, into the forthcoming situation. My studies have been quite intensive, but I don’t particularly want to go into it because it’s a personal thing and isn’t in relation to anything apart from the fact that I’ve employed his system in my own day-to-day life.”

Aleister Crowley’s book “Magick”, the inside flap states, “Crowley’s Magick is a doctrine and technique for establishing contact with extra terrestrial entities, spirits, demons, elementals for the purpose of extending human consciousness and expanding life to cosmic proportions…The whole of Crowley’s doctrine is based on “The Book of the Law” in which the future of humanity, the establishment of the new order is outlined.”

From Magick:

How to be an adept disciple

a) Let him learn to write backwards with either hand
b) Let him learn to walk backwards (Michael Jackson made this popular, the moonwalk)
c) Let him constantly watch, if convenient, cinematograph films and listen to phonograph records reversed, and let him so accustom himself to these that they appear natural and appreciable as a whole.
d) Let him practice speaking backwards thus for ‘I am he’ let him say, ‘Eh ma I.’
e) Let him learn to read backwards. In this it is difficult to avoid cheating one’s self, as an expert reader sees a sentence at a glance. Let his disciple read aloud to him backwards slowly a first, then more quickly.

Led Zeppelin’s album, “Houses of the Holy” is written backwards.

Jimmy Page invoked Satan on stage with his movements and gestures that Crowley speaks about in his “Magick” book.

Robert Plant said these lyrics just came to him.

“Stairway to Heaven” (The most popular song ever)

There’s a lady who’s sure all that
Glitters is Gold (deception)
And She’s buying a stairway to Heaven.
And when she gets there she knows
If the stores are close.
With a word she can get what she came for. (Philosophy of ‘Do What Thou Wilt’)

And It’s whispered that soon if we all
call the tune.
Then the piper will lead us to reason. (The piper has been represented as a deceiver throughout history)
And a new day will dawn for those
who stand long.
And the forests will echo with laughter.

If there’ a bustle in you hedgerow
Don’t be alarmed now
It’s just a spring clean for the may queen
Yet there are two paths you can go by
But in the long run
There’s still time to change the one your on.

You’re head is humming and it won’t go
in case you don’t know
The piper’s calling you to join him.
Dear lady can you hear the wind blow.
And did you know,
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind.

Note on the humming, Oprah Winfrey said she was lonely and out of it until she came in contact with the universal hum.

Lyrics played backwards

“You’re stairway lies on the whispering wind,”
Backwards – “Cause we live with Satan”

“The piper’s calling you to join him”
Backwards – “The Lord turned me off”

“And it makes me wonder”
Backwards – “There’s no escaping it”

“There are two paths…”
Backwards – “Here’s to my sweet Satan

“I want to live it”
Backwards – like the Zep, whose power is Satan

He will give, give you 666”

Aleister Crowley, “There is a magical operation of maximum importance. The initiation of a new aeon. When it becomes necessary to utter a word, the whole planet must be bathed in blood. Before man is ready to accept the Law of Thelema, the Great War must be fought. This bloody sacrifice is the critical point in the work and ceremony of the proclamation of horus, the crowned and conquering child, as lord of the aeons…The animals should therefore be killed within the circle or the triangle…For the highest spiritual working one must accordingly choose that victim which contains the greatest and purest force. A male child of perfect innocence and high in intelligence is the most satisfactory and suitable victim.”

Houses of the Holy has a picture of a child being sacrificed on the album.

“The Beatles Yesterday and Today” had a picture of the Beatles with dolls torn limb to limb. This album was recalled because the butcher association was upset because they wore butcher’s smocks.

“Houses of the Holy” lyrics

From the Houses of the Holy
We can watch the white dove go
From the dark of Satan’s Jordan
and it only goes to show

So the world is spinning faster
Are you dizzy when you’re stoned
Let the music be your master
Will you heed the Master’s call?

Richard Ramirez, the “Night Stalker,” was a follower of AC/DC. He visited Anton LeVey before he went on his killing spree.

David Berkowitz, the “Son of Sam,” was a follower of Aleister Crowley

Dahmer was into the Satanic Bible.

Neil Young thought Manson was an incredible musician. He said songs would just come out of him without ever repeating a single one.

Ozzy Osbourne has a song called, “Mr. Crowley.” Osbourne admitted, “I’m obedient for a higher force, I hope it’s not what I think it is, Satan.”

Interview with Glen Benton (lead singer Deicide)

Interviewer: It is some form of worship for you?
GB: Not exactly, it’s a focal point to express my Satanism.
Inter.: Do you believe in demonic possession?
GB: Of course. Demonic possession to me is when you’ve come to a certain point and there’s no turning back.

Lighter more popular songs

Sting of the Police said, “We’ll probably get our songs from drugs and eastern religion.”

The Police’s album, “Synchronicity” was written backwards on the cover. String admitted he was also trying to get people into Karl Jung. Sting also bought a pack of Crowley’s tarot cards and said his favorite card was the death card.

Sting looked at the song, “Every Breath You Take,” as when the whole world would be in bondage under world rule. Sting in an interview said about the song, “I think it’s shadowy, evil, and insidious, and the fact that it’s been at the top of the American record charts proves the point. People don’t know what they’re hearing,’ he crackles exuberantly, ‘My God! It’s absolute poison.”

Another Police album is “Go to the Machine,” named after a new age novel by Arthur Kessler. On the album cover are three backwards numbers. When you place them in correct order it is 666.

Duran Duran, one of the most popular bands in the 1980’s, had an album called “Union of the Snake.” On this album cover is a symbol where the only other place this symbol is found is in the Satanic Bible at the beginning of the “Nine Satanic Statements.” The first one being, “Satan represents indulgence, instead of abstinence.”

Hall and Oates – Darryl Hall was into Aleister Crowley. “Around 1974, I graduated into the occult and spent a solid six or seven years immersed in the cabala and the Chaldean Caitic and druidic traditions and ancient techniques for focusing the inner flame, the will that can create unimagined things and truly transform your individual universe, I also became fascinated with Aleister Crowley, the nineteenth century, British magician who shared these beliefs.”

David Bowie was inspired by Aleister Crowley.

Rap N.W.A. – Founder Dr. Dre in an interview was asked how does one become a rapper? His answer, “Do what you want, say what you want, be what you want when you want.”

Digital Underground has a song called, “Do What You Like.”

“Prophets of Rage” by Public Enemy (lyrics)

If you don’t think I’m your brother
Then check you chromosomes
Then check the stage
It’s a new age

M.C. Hammer wrote on his album cover

“Special Thanks to
My Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ
The God above all,
through all,
and in all of us.”

The new age teaches Christ is in all, this is what Elvis believed.

Prince helped M.C. Hammer write the song “Pray.”

Madonna in a Rolling Stone interview said her production company is named Siren Films. Madonna, “You know what a siren is don’t you? A woman who draws men to their death… I’ve had my moments of sireness.”

Madonna’s shows are filled with sexual explicity, eastern decorations and music. All of her back-up dancers are homosexual except for one. Before each concert she prays.

A review of Prince’s album, Paisley Park

“Several of the album’s nine songs summon up and grapple with the specific archetypes of ‘60’s rock. It begins with a bucolic, flutelike twittering and a preliterate yawp from Prince’s vocal chords. The first words are ‘Open your heart, open your mind.” An invitation much like the songs that opened “Sgt. Pepper,” and the Rolling Stones’ psychedelic, “Their Satanic Majesties Request.”

“Sexuality” by Prince (lyrics)

The second coming anything goes
Sexuality is all you’ll ever need
Sexuality let your body be free

Come on everybody this is your life
I’m talking about a revolution
we gotta organize

We don’t need segregation
We don’t need no race
New Age Revelation
I think we gotta case.

From the biography, “Michael Jackson”

“I wake up from dreams and go, ‘Wow! Put this down on paper!’ The whole thing is strange. You hear the words, everything is right there in front of your face. And you say to yourself, ‘I’m sorry, I just didn’t write this. It’s there already.’ I feel that something, someplace, it’s all been done, and I’m the courier bringing it into the world.”

Michael Jackson had worked with both Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger before he wrote the greatest selling album at that time, “Thiller.” In fact, Paul McCartney helped out on “Thiller.”

Michael Jackson thought up “We Are the World.” Yoko Ono said, “The kind of work that will bring good vibrations into the world.

“We Are the World” lyrics

We can’t go on pretending
Day by Day
That someone, somewhere
will soon make a change

We are all a part of God’s
great big family
And the truth you know
Love is all we need

We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a
brighter day so let’s start giving

There’s a choice we’re making
we’re saving our own lives
It’s true we make a better day
Just you and me.

Send then your heart
so they know that someone cares.
And their lives will be stronger
and free

As God has shown us
By turning stones to bread
And so we all must lend a helping hand
When you’re down and out and there seem no hope at all

But if you just believe
There’s no way we can fall
Let us realize that change can only come
When we all stand together as one.

Contemporary Christian musician Stephen Curtis Chapman performed on August 6 at the Roman Catholic youth Fest in Cleveland, Ohio. The Fest, which is in its sixth year, featured a Catholic Mass performed by Bishop Anthony Pilla and the practice of auricular confession to priests. In an interview before his performance, Chapman said that it is a good thing that the Catholic Church is showing a greater openness to contemporary Christian music. He said young people tune out preaching but they will listen to music (“Catholics by the Thousands Rock to Christian Tunes,” Cleveland Plain Dealer, August 07, 2006). In typical CCM fashion, Chapman, by his actions, proves that he cares nothing about sound doctrine and repudiates the practice of biblical separation from error (e.g., Rom. 16:17-18; 2 Tim. 3:5).

A study by the Rand Corporation has found that young people who listen to sexually explicit music are much more likely to “start having sex sooner” (“Sexual Lyrics Prompt Teens to Have Sex,” Houston Chronicle, August 6, 2006). Steven Martino, the study’s lead researcher, concludes that this music “really lowers kids’ inhibitions and makes them less thoughtful.” The study, which appears in the August issue of Pediatrics magazine, involved interviews with 1,461 young people aged 12 to 17. Of course, common sense would reach the same conclusion. Thinking back to my own childhood, I know by experience how negatively one can be influenced by pop music. According to the Bible, we are not only influenced by what we hear; what we hear is what we are. The Bible says, “A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue” (Proverbs 17:4). A naughty tongue is a perfect description of the world of hip-hop music, and the Bible says that what one loves to hear is a reflection of one’s own heart. On the other hand, “The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise” (Proverbs 15:31).
