The Kansas City Prophets by Bob Hunter-Inside a Prophetic Service

The “prophet” had the crowd following every word he said, even
almost every movement he made, in fact, every sensation he felt in
his body!

[Bob Jones] Hmmmm, witchcraft coming again…check that
in Jesus’ name. I feel pin pricks on me. There’s
witchcraft comin’…

Then the pastor, Mike Bickle explains to the crowd,

When Bob feels pin pricks in his hand, that just show up,
that means witchcraft is in this [place]…The phrase
that Bob uses is his senses turn golden…His five senses
are literally inspired by the Holy Spirit …He could
tell what was happening in the spirit realm from the five
senses…1 (See Jude 19)

     What’s going on here? No, it’s not a psychic, it’s a full
gospel church service, featuring Mike Bickle and “seer” Bob Jones!
Bob Jones is “picking up” witchcraft by the pin prickly feeling in
his hand and Mike Bickle is asking him to elaborate on the whole
concept of “golden senses,” in which 20-30 different signs show up
in his physical body to help him divine the spiritual realm. For
example, his hands turn different colors to indicate things,
(purple-royalty, red-intercession, etc). Did the apostles ever
model anything even remotely like this? Never mind, these men are
part of the new breed, they are so anointed that the apostles can’t
wait to meet them! As Mike Bickle says,

The saints in the New Testament would wait in line to
greet the apostles coming from this generation![2]

Who Are the Kansas City Prophets?

In following the trail of error that has led to this current
mysticized revival, we need to fully explore the role that the
company of men known as the Kansas City Prophets have to play in
it. The controversy that surrounded them in the late 1980’s and
very early 1990’s seems to have died down since John Wimber came
forward to offer them a “covering” through affiliation with the
Vineyard Movement. It is my contention that instead of truly
resolving the problems that were raised by these false prophets, a
band-aid was put over the whole affair. The erroneous teaching and
ministry of Paul Cain, Bob Jones, John Paul Jackson, and others has
been promoted and circulated through the Body of Christ in the
years since Vineyard has been their covering. Bob Jones, one of
the more obviously false prophets, finally was exposed, but not as
a false prophet, but for an ethical/moral failure. His prophecies
have been cited several times, to my knowledge, as valid, at
Toronto Airport Vineyard. The same people who heralded these men
as prophets are now heralding this spiritual drunkenness as a great
end times revival. I wouldn’t even be surprised to find that
behind the scenes of this “latest move of the Spirit” you’d
probably find some of the same people offering their “prophetic
ministry.” We are not talking about personality differences here,
nor about doctrinal hairsplitting, the men I’ll be discussing in
this chapter have presumed to speak prophetically, in the name of
the Lord, (as though God were talking) to the whole, universal
church! They have made great claims, like “The Lord spoke to me
clearly…” or “I stood face to face before the Lord.” And what is
in the message? Sheer Manifested Sons, Latter Rain, last days
super church, church as manchild stuff, reheated, repackaged and
rehashed!

In describing the Kansas City Prophets, for the sake of time
and space, I’ll zero in on three men, Mike Bickle, Bob Jones, and
Paul Cain. I will briefly discuss some others, but these are the
three major players, in the Kansas City Prophets controversy. It’s
also important, however, to take a fresh look at how the church
handled (or failed to handle with responsibility) the exposure of
false prophecy, for this has set the course which we are currently
on, and the same people who wouldn’t discern at that time, even
more so now, refuse to think critically.

Mike Bickle

We must start with the pastor of a church in Kansas City,
Missouri, named Mike Bickle. The church is now known as the Metro
Vineyard of Kansas City, but in the early 1980’s when it was
started it was called KCF for Kansas City Fellowship. Bickle
originally had pastored in St. Louis. In June of 1982, a man named
Augustine approached Bickle and told him that he had heard an
audible voice telling him to prophesy by the “spirit of truth” to
Bickle’s congregation. Bickle allowed him to do this and was
impressed by the seeming accuracy with which he described the
condition of his church. In September, the same year, Mike Bickle
himself heard an audible voice speak to him, while on a trip in
Cairo, Egypt. The voice told him,

I am inviting you to raise up a work that will touch the
ends of the earth. I have invited many people to do this
thing and many people have said yes, but very few have
done my will.[3]

Shortly after this, on a “word from the Lord,” Bickle began a
new work in Kansas City, Missouri. The church grew rapidly in a
very short time. In 1986, Bickle and his elders formed an
organization called Grace Ministries, which they described as, “A
ministry team of men committed to seeing the church fully restored
to the glory described in God’s Word.”[4] Now, Grace Ministries
and KCF are two distinct organizations. Al Dager gives a good
description of the function of Grace Ministries,

Grace Ministries is a parachurch organization that
represents several men who engage in itinerant, allegedly
prophetic, ministries…There are seven major facets to
Grace Ministries: 1. Apostolic teams; 2. City churches;
3. The House of Prayer; 4. The Joseph Company; 5. The
Israel Mandate; 6. A Ministry training center; 7. Shiloh
Ministries.[5]

I won’t try to describe in detail each facet, as Al Dager did
in his helpful Media Spotlight Report, but I will highlight a few
aspects of two of the facets.

City churches, Bickle believes that every city really only has
one church, which may consist of several congregations, but must
come under one, citywide, eldership. As Ministries Today reported,

Bickle and his leadership team have promoted a concept
advocating unity among all pastors in a geographic area.
Bickle now says that the idea should have emphasized
“unity through friendship” rather than “unity through a
church government structure.” Many pastors in Kansas
City felt threatened by what they perceived to be an
attempt to “swallow” other churches under KCF’s banner.
“The way we used terminology created fear, division, and
suspicion,” Bickle admits.[6]

Shiloh Ministries was or is, the development of a prophetic
community. A piece of land was designated and developed, where
prophets could live together, convene prophetic conferences, share
their insights, and train up other prophets. The senior prophetic
authority recognized over Shiloh, was to be Paul Cain, a former
associate of William Branham. Cain once called Branham, “The
greatest prophet who ever lived.” (It is interesting to note that
there was, in Iowa, (might still be) a “prophetic” retreat and
community called Shiloh. It was noted for its Manifested Sons of
God teaching. But I don’t know if it’s directly related.)

Though Bickle is the pastor of KCF and founder of Grace
Ministries, he at one point, seemed to back down from calling
anybody a prophet. Here is an excerpt from an interview he had
with Al Dager.

There’s no one in our midst that we give the title
“prophet.” The only one I would feel comfortable of
giving that office would be Paul Cain, but he refuses to
accept it. So, I’d say both of them, apostle and
prophet_I believe that in God’s purpose they exist, but
we’re very hesitant to designate somebody as being one at
this point and time.[7]

But, on the other hand, in his lengthy interview with Bob
Jones on the tape, “Visions and Revelations,” Jones describes
numerous face to face encounters with the Lord. Upon Bickle’s
encouragement, Jones tells the crowd what God supposedly said, what
he saw in the throne room, what he clearly “heard.” If that is not
playing the role of the prophet, what is? Semantically avoiding
the actual title “prophet,” but then delivering messages to the
church in the name of the Lord, seems hypocritical to me. To avoid
the scrutiny of Deut 13 and Deut 18, they call themselves
“prophetic ministries” instead of “prophets.” But, even the ones
who follow them know better, calling them “The Prophets.”

I believe that Mike Bickle has been zealous, and well
intentioned. I have read a book of his, Passion for Jesus,
which makes clear some beautiful teachings about the attributes of
God, the fear of the Lord, and knowing God. But, I also believe
that through an unfortunate lack of discernment, he has promoted
false prophets, as well as the doctrines of Manifested Sons of God,
on an international scale. This has helped pave the way for the
current mysticism. The next person we will discuss is an excellent
example of this.

Bob Jones

Bob Jones has been described publicly at KCF as a “resident
seer.” This is unfortunate because he turned out to be one of the
most blatant examples of a false prophet, of them all. How anyone
can listen to him for even 10 minutes and not completely reject him
as a prophet, is amazing to me. And yet, Mike Bickle and KCF
thought enough of him to tape a lengthy interview with him called,
“Visions and Revelations.” The blatantly false doctrine, and
occultic dreams and “revelations” found on this tape were enabled
to make their way all over the world in a relatively short time.
On the tape, Jones describes how he went from being a drunkard,
fornicator, and bar room brawler, to eventually land in a mental
institution, where he was regularly visited by demons who would
hold conversations with him. Finally, Jesus Himself told Bob in
order to get his mind back, to either kill or forgive twelve people
he hated! Jones goes on to describe his Christian life and
supernatural ministry.

One unforgettable episode that Jones recounts is how he
received a visit from an angelic guide name “Dominus.” “Dominus”
eventually turned out to be the Lord Jesus Christ Himself,
according to Jones. Jones tells how, in an out of body experience,
he and Dominus sat above the KCF “in the Spirit,” on rocking
chairs, holding hands. To confirm Jones’ “ministry” to Mike Bickle
and his brother in law and associate pastor Bob Scott, Dominus
revealed to Jones that he would visit the two men in their dreams.
Each man subsequently had a dream in which a friend they knew named
“Don” appeared (two separate Don’s). When they asked Jones why Don
appeared and not Jesus, Jones impatiently replied,

You guys are never going to learn the language of the
Spirit, are you?…Jesus appears in thousands of
different faces to portray something. He was trying to
say, “I’m your friend, I am your familiar friend and I’m
going to show you all things so you can move in the power
of the Spirit.”[8]

To be honest with you, I think this was a combination of the
working of a powerful familiar spirit and incredible naivete.
Bickle would later say of Jones, “He should have had a backstage
ministry.”[9]

The Shepherd’s Rod

Bob Jones also contributed the Shepherd’s Rod Revelation to
the Body. According to him, “Everyone must pass under the
shepherd’s rod once a year.” It all started when, according to
Mike Bickle,

Ten years ago, the Lord began to visit Bob and tell him
that he would visit him on the day of atonement each
year…The Lord literally stands before Bob and speaks to
him…it’s a real holy thing before the Lord…[10]

“The Lord” showed Bob Jones that on the day of atonement the
shepherd of the congregation must hold out his staff and all must
pass under it for a time of prophetic inspection. If they are in
sin, it will be revealed prophetically to the leader. Bob Jones
says this is a time where the Lord turns you upside down and looks
you over for blemishes. Thus, through this blatant denial of the
cross, you have God’s people observing a distorted day of
atonement.

It would take an entire book to catalog the heresy of this one
man, and that is not my purpose. My burden in this chapter is to
remind us, where was the discernment? We were so spiritual, so
full of “mystical” revelation and “cutting edge truth,” but look at
what we overlooked! The emperor obviously has no clothes! And
when it began to be exposed by Ernie Gruen, it was almost dealt
with as a matter of personal animosity and covered over. These men
didn’t leave ministry, their tapes weren’t pulled. They haven’t
missed a beat! This is why we are so blind and intoxicated right
now. Before there was a scandal, Mike Bickle said of Bob Jones,
“There is nobody in the natural that had a more integral role in
establishing our foundations in that kind of prophetic way, than
Bob [Jones]“[11] After part of the controversy, Mike Bickle
expresses regrets, “I made the mistake of allowing Bob Jones to
step out from backstage into prominent, public ministry,” and “I
believe the Lord gave Bob Jones a backstage ministry, but I
promoted him on the front stage.”[12] Backstage ministry? I hope
not. I’d rather have people like him out in the open than
influencing movements backstage. Here are just a few of the
blatant errors promoted by the “backstage ministry.”
When Bob Scott, associate pastor at KCF questioned Bob Jones
about being in a recent dream, Jones replied, “It was not a dream,
it was something other than a dream.” He questioned Jones again,
“Was that a dream or a trance or a vision?” Bob says, “Well, it
was neither, I was there…on occasions, I’m there, it’s not a
vision, it’s not a trance, I’m there.”[13]

Bob Jones’ White Talking Horse_(Bob Jones) “The first time I
ever seen the white horse was when an angel called Gabriel was
riding. I saw him a couple of times in the ’70’s, I didn’t
understand what it meant, I would just see the white horse…(Mike
Bickle interjects) (Mike Bickle) “The white horse always speaks in
Bob’s visions…In his vision it speaks of the corporate purpose
that God is bringing to pass…”[14]

35 Super Apostles like unto Paul_Bob Jones saw and described
a vision in which, “The Holy Spirit took me to a place_this time it
wasn’t the Lord took me, it was the Holy Spirit. He took me to a
place and I saw the Lord, high and lifted up, by some young men and
he set upon the golden ark…and I looked and there were men that
had hold of the ark and they had the ark upon their shoulders. And
the government will be upon their single shoulders.” Jones goes on
to explain how, by way of allegory, the Lord showed him he would
raise up 35 men, to be champions for Christ in the last days.
“…They will reign and reveal to the world that they truly are the
faithful and true leaders and the government that will be upon his
single shoulder.” Mike Bickle comments, “I think there’ll be 35
like unto Paul…There would be 35 whom the Lord would separate in
the highest way. The government rests on apostles and
prophets.”[15]

What a perversion of Isaiah 9, in which Jesus is described as
Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father and
the one on whose shoulder shall rest the government of the whole
earth!! Yet how typical of Manifested Sons heresy, to replace
the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, with the “corporate Christ”
concept.

Bob’s revelation concerning prophetic accuracy. Bob Jones, in
the tape “Shepherd’s Rod” told us that God had revealed to him that
the Rhema (spoken word) would be two-thirds accurate in the days to
come. In other words, up to two-thirds of the time these prophets
would be “right on.” Why not 100% of the time? If you listen to
Bob Jones, you would be glad for inaccurate prophets! Why? God
showed Bob, supposedly, that if enough power was released to give
us 100% accuracy, we would have dead Ananias’ and Sapphirra’s all
over the place! (How’s that for making people actually thankful
for inaccurate prophets?) Jones says we shouldn’t worry about
inaccurate prophesies, for God told him that prophets are like guns
and prophecies are like bullets and inaccurate prophecies are like
blanks. And he also says that God told him, “I’m loading the guns,
I’m putting the blanks in!” Incredible! Jones would have us
believe that God is responsible for innaccurate prophecies!
Supposedly, even when we shoot blanks, it scares the enemy! Bob
Jones complains about people who “try to make us Old Testament
prophets” meaning to hold them to the standard of Deut 18. He then
quotes I Cor 14, about giving prophecy in church and judging to see
if they are all right. I must reply to this.

There is a huge difference, I agree, in giving a prophecy, “To
edify, exhort, and comfort” the church, and in being a prophet, who
presumes to speak in the name of the Lord. But, we aren’t trying
to make these modern “prophets” into Old Testament prophets, they
are. They are the ones who emphatically say, “The Lord said this,”
or “I saw the Lord face to face, and He said thus and so…”
that’s a far cry from supernatural utterance to edify, exhort, and
comfort. Standing up and making bold pronouncements to the church
universal in the name of God is a serious matter, New or Old
Testament. Leading the church into error as a teacher is bad
enough, but to claim direct revelation while doing it is even
worse. Bob Jones is a man who claims to have five to six visions
and revelations per day. We are talking about a man who thought he
was a backslider when two days went by without a visitation from
Jesus. He actually stands before the Lord on the day of atonement,
remember? And Mike Bickle enthusiastically promoted it!

The New Breed To Come, The Elected Seed – Bob Jones has much
to say about the actual bloodline of the great last days
overcomers. Bob reports that the Lord told him, “From out of the
sands of time I have called the best of every bloodline in the
earth, unto this generation…Even the bloodline of Paul…of
David…of Peter, James and John, the best of their seed is unto
this generation. They will even be superior to them in heart,
stature and love for me…” What does bloodline matter to God,
who of one blood, made us all? Sounds more like some kind of
Eugenics cult than the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jones goes on to
promise prophetically, the old Manifested Sons of God hopes that,
“They will move into things of the supernatural that no one has
ever moved in before. Every miracle, sign and wonder that has ever
been in the Bible, they’ll move in it consistently. They’ll move
in the power that Christ did…They themselves will be that
generation that’s raised up to put death itself underneath their
feet and to glorify Christ in every way…So that glorious church
might be revealed in the last days because the Lord Jesus is worthy
to be lifted up by a church that has reached the full maturity of
the God man!”[16]

This is typical of the sheer Manifested Sons heresy promoted
by KCF and Grace Ministries. Has anyone renounced this? No, they
renounce the fact that they put Bob Jones out in “front stage” and
not “backstage,” but the heresy isn’t rejected. Jones’ real
problem was that he openly promoted things that others realize the
church isn’t “quite ready for.”

Several times while I have been there in Toronto in the
services at Airport Vineyard, the prophecies of Bob Jones were
discussed in a noncritical matter, as having been fulfilled in part
by this revival. In a transcript of a meeting at Airport Vineyard,
Friday, October 14, 1994, Wes Campbell discusses Bob Jones’
revelation of an upcoming “civil war” in the church. In this war,
the blue represents “revelation knowledge” people, fighting for
freedom in the Spirit. “The gray” as in gray matter, those bound
to their minds, you know, critical thinking (of course they are the
ones keeping the church in slavery). This “revelation” was
discussed as being credible and soon coming.[17]

This failure to resolve to correct the obvious lack of
discernment, has cost us our spiritual eyesight, and led us deeper
into error. Bob Jones can be an object lesson to us. After all,
how could all of the “great prophetic company” fail to “pick up on
him?” Truly, the emperor has no clothes.

Rev 3:17-18 Because thou sayest, I am rich and increased
with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not
that thou are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and
blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried
in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment,
that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy
nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with
eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Paul Cain

One of the most prominent and well received ministries
associated with KCF would be the ministry of Paul Cain. The people
of KCF and Grace Ministries have held Cain in the highest regard.

We [KCF] have recognized a mandate from the Lord to make
a special commitment to follow the leadership of John
Wimber and Paul Cain. Grace Ministries believes that
these two men are chosen vessels among others in the
nation.[18]

In the tape, “Visions and Revelations” in which Bickle
interviews Bob Jones, Cain is described by Jones as “the most
anointed prophet that’s in the world today.” He is said to have
the “fear mantle on him,” and we are assured that “the enemy would
love to take him out before he [Cain] anoints this next generation,
before he writes upon your mind…before he imparts his anointing
into thousands of you.”[19]

Paul Cain has an interesting background. In his testimony, it
is reported that immediately before his birth, his mother was
nearly dead from four major conditions. Breast cancer,
tuberculosis, heart disease, and three other malignant tumors, all
were afflicting her at the time she was to give birth. But, an
angel of the Lord came to her and told her not to fear, she would
not die, but give birth to a male child. The angel even told her
to name him Paul for he would preach the gospel as Paul did. As
you can see, there are many similarities to the testimony of
William Branham whom Cain was to one day be an associate of. Paul
Cain says that the angel of the Lord spoke to him at the age of 8
in an audible voice. “I heard an audible voice and of course,
often the angel of the Lord_it might have been the Lord Jesus
Christ_but anyway, when He speaks it’s rather awesome.”[20]

Joel’s Army

Paul Cain testifies of another unusual visitation which
occurred at the age of 19, which gave him a message that he
promotes to this day. An angel appeared to him in glory and
magnificence, holding out a sword, pointing to a billboard. The
billboard said, “Joel’s army now in training.” When he asked the
Lord what it meant, the Lord took him through the book of Joel.
Joel’s army is described in Joel 2:1-11. To Cain and others,
Joel’s army is that great last days church, that “New Breed” of
believers in whom the whole plan of God is climaxed in. These are
the ones who take the world for Christ, are in perfect unity, are
invincible, even divine in a sense! The idea of a Joel’s army of
invincible saints, executing judgement, is a huge expression of the
Latter Rain/Manifested Sons of God teachers.

In 1947, Paul Cain began a public healing ministry, he was 18
years old. His contemporaries were William Branham, Oral Roberts,
A. A. Allen, Jack Coe, T. L. Osborne, etc. As the healing revival
exploded and prosperity and popularity increased Cain saw greed,
pride, and self service begin to characterize himself and others he
knew. He entered into a season of repentance of which he would say
after that God stripped everything away. It was during that season
of repentance that he had another life changing visitation from the
Lord,

God had told him that if he kept himself from corruption
and remained content with living a humble life, marked by
scripture study and prayer, one day he would be allowed
to stand before a new breed of men and women leaders.
These would be marked by simplicity, purity, and
remarkable manifestations of power.[21]

Thus began 25 years of extremely low profile for this
“prophet” of the Lord, whom the Lord had also called to be
celibate. It wasn’t until April of 1987 that “the Lord ordained a
divine appointment for Paul with Mike Bickle and others from
KCF”[22] “The KCF eldership instantly felt the Lord prompting them
to make a deep and permanent commitment to serve Paul Cain in
anyway possible for the rest of his days as the Lord
permitted.”[23] Bob Jones, the “resident seer” at KCF went so far
as to say of Cain, “The Lord named Paul Cain’s ministry, “The
Terror of the Lord” or “The Jealousy of God.”[24]

Terror of the Lord? What is it about Paul Cain that causes
people to regard him so reverently? Paul Cain has exhibited the
ability to tell people the details of their lives, hidden sins and
even things they have said in confidence to others. There have
been reports of earthquakes and other natural disasters predicted
by him.

In January of 1989, Paul Cain told Jack Deere, a Vineyard
pastor, that an earthquake would occur on the day Paul
arrived for the first time to meet John Wimber at the
church in Anaheim, California. Another would occur
elsewhere in the world the day after he left Anaheim.
Cain said that the earthquake would be a confirmation
that the Lord had a strategic purpose for the Vineyard
Movement. The first earthquake took place in Pasadena on
the day Cain arrived. He left Anaheim on December 7.
The Soviet-Armenian earthquake occurred on December
8.[25]

Another reason that Paul Cain is highly regarded as a “Terror
of the Lord” could be the reported power surges of electricity that
occur at places where he ministers. On one occasion in a church a
tremendous surge of electrical power blew out circuits and set off
fire alarms. The fire department responded, only to find that
there was no fire, just a “prophetic meeting!” In Anaheim,
California, even a battery operated video camera was short
circuited, and the telephone systems were “blown out!” People have
attributed this to the “heavy prophetic anointing” on Paul Cain,
but does this sound like the Holy Spirit moving to you?

Not every manifestation is heavy or frightening as Clifford
Hill points out in his review of Some Said It Thundered a
book defending the Kansas City Prophets.

The main body of this book is an account of story after
story of what I believe are best described as “paranormal
experiences,” such as the following telephone
conversation between Paul Cain…and Mike Bickle. After
the opening greetings Paul Cain said, “Why Mike, you’ve
got a bit of a sniffle and you are all wet. Your hair is
standing up on the left side of your head.” Bickle
called his wife, Diana, to look at him. “Sweetheart,
Paul says I have a sniffle, I am all wet, and my hair is
standing up on one side. Am I all wet?” “Yes,” she
said, “You’ve just come out of the shower.” “And is my
hair standing up on one side?” “Yes,” she replied, “on
the left side!” Paul Cain calls these strange
experiences little tokens that the line is still open
with the Lord.” (Page 29). Why would the Lord Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth give divine revelation to a
prophet that his pastor had just taken a shower? This
kind of trivialization of prophecy does immense harm and
causes confusion among the spiritually immature.”[26]

The New Breed, Joel’s Army

As I said earlier, one of Paul Cain’s major messages seems to
be that there is coming a new breed in the church, of overcomers.
It is this company of end times people that the prophets have
eagerly anticipated.

This army is also in the New Testament. It’s referred to
as “the manchild.” I know some of you are going to
disagree with this…Rev 12:25…Here it is this great
army in the New Testament is the manchild. Rev 12:5, the
overcomers Rev 2 and 3, the 144,000 servants, Rev 7:3,
the bride or the lamb’s wife, Rev 19:7 and 21:9, and the
white horse, Rev 6:2, the first fruits, Rev 14:4, the
precious fruits James 5:7, the wise virgins, Matt
25:1-13, the Manifested Sons of God, Rom 8:19-23 and it’s
certainly a remarkable fact that none of these names are
expressions applied to the saints of God or at any other
time in history. But, all of them are in their context
and promises showing undeniably that they belong to the
end of time…To this present generation, Matt
24:34…and God wants us to realize once again in closing
that there’s going to be a great company of overcomers
prepared for this mighty ministry which I call the prize
of all the ages. And again, God’s offering to the
believers of this generation a greater privilege than was
ever offered to any people of any generation at any time
from ADAM clear down through the end of the
millennium.[27]

Manifested Sons of God?

Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature
waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Unlike many others who espouse this doctrine, Paul Cain
doesn’t seem to balk at admitting to be a proponent of the
Manifested Sons of God doctrine. The only problem that he seems to
have with it is people trying to manifest their sonship
presumptuously.

There will be a manifestation of the sons of God. And it
won’t be this baloney that we’ve heard of in the past; I
mean there’s been a few people tried to walk through a
wall like this one over here and knocked their brain
loose, but that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m
talking about a true manifested son of God; if anyone
walks through this wall, over here, they’re not going to
tell you about it, I mean, they’re just going to do it.
And sons of God don’t tell you they’re sons of God,
they’ll just show you! Amen![28]

Romans 8:17 is the scriptural point at which the Manifested
Sons of God proponents leap into error. The scripture teaches that
the whole of creation indeed does await the time of manifestation
of the sons of God, (ie the glorification of the saints, the final
resurrection). The contention is that we believe we shall be
glorified after the return of Jesus Christ bodily. It is then that
He, Jesus, will put death underneath His feet. Manifested Sons of
God teaches that there will be a company of supersaints who will be
glorified and immortalized, before the bodily return of Jesus, and
that we, the glorified, corporate Christ, will be the ones who put
death under our feet. They also believe that only after that
happens can Jesus return bodily. Clifford Hill summarizes it
nicely in his Prophecy Today publication.

The opportunity of joining the “new breed” an elite group
of believers endowed with supernatural power that would
enable them to be a part of the army of dread warriors
that God was said to be raising up in our generation.
According to John Wimber this is a type of “Joel’s Army”
who will overcome all opposition to the gospel and
eventually subdue the nations. This teaching is part of
what is known as “dominion theology,” which teaches that
an elite army of overcomers will either destroy or subdue
all the enemies of Christ until they eventually gain
power and authority throughout the world. The government
of the nations will be upon their shoulders and when all
the secular authorities, governments, princes and kings
have finally submitted to them, Christ will return and
they will present the kingdom to Him.[29]

This is the theology that has been promoted by the Kansas City
Prophets and their followers. As I have said earlier, it is a
theology that emphasizes man in the place of Christ. The
“corporate Christ” is still the church, not Christ. It is Jesus
Christ who has destroyed death and will ultimately put it under His
feet, we don’t do it for Him.

The Challenge

In January, 1990, Ernie Gruen a Charismatic pastor in Kansas
City for 27 years, of the Full Faith Church of Love, released a 233
page document listing erroneous prophecies, statements, doctrines,
and incidents involving the Kansas City Prophets. “He accused KCF
of sending out false prophets; of prophesying area churches to
close down (and then join KCF) and of outright lying.”[30]

As an example of the kind of “prophetic” response to these
charges, here is an excerpt from Rick Joyner’s Morningstar.

KCF is just one of many new streams starting to flow in
the body of Christ, each of which is destined to receive
furious and unrelenting attacks for a season, much of
which will come from those who may have a great influence
on the church but have long ago lost the anointing.[31]

Do you see how the Berean spirit is being strangled here?
When someone does raise some valid, specific criticism, “Well, it
must be jealousy, they have a Saul spirit and don’t like our “David
Movement.” “ One of most insidious and blinding concepts to come
to the church lately is the idea that all criticism is personal.
This idea is amplified by the emphasis on people who have the
Jezebel Spirit, fault finding spirit, or that old standby, the
accuser of the brethren! The whole idea deflects people’s
attention away from the issues of false, destructive doctrine and
ministry to personality, “hurt,” so called division and phony
humility.

Gruen and Bickle were headed toward a resolution of their
differences by a meeting of the Network of Christian Ministries,
which was supposed to occur in July of 1990. But, in May, John
Wimber stepped into the situation, offering himself and the
Vineyard Movement as a “covering” to KCF and the prophets.

Wimber acknowledged that there were indeed “excesses” at
KCF. In a letter to Gruen, Wimber promised to address
the errors and declared, “I am satisfied that we will not
see these problems arising again in the future.” The
meeting with the NCM leaders was called off.[32]

Why? Didn’t the errors still need to be examined, discussed,
rejected or corrected? Shouldn’t the Pentecostals at least have
insisted on the opportunity to publicly, formally renounce these
heresies? By sweeping the problem into the “Vineyard House” and
not openly exposing and standing against it, we have sown the wind
and are reaping the whirlwind! It was probably a great relief to
everyone that Wimber’s action saved us from another controversy,
but what’s the matter with controversy? Wimber did offer some
correction and guidelines and I appreciate him for it, but for the
most part the Kansas City Prophets rolled right along. The
erroneous teachings were made available through the Vineyard
Catalogs. Bob Jones was asked to “limit his public ministry,”
instead of being rejected from public or private ministry. John
Paul Jackson (See our appendix of KCF Quotes), a blatantly false
prophet was shipped out to California to minister there with
Wimber. Paul Cain is in England now. Mike Bickle is a popular
author, pastor and widely accepted Charismatic leader. Bickle, in
looking back to 1990, told Charisma that he has learned four
lessons from the experience.

     1. “We had an elite spirit. That’s become more and
more real to me — it’s so repulsive.”
2. “We promoted mystical experience in a
disproportionate way and it was disastrous.”
3. “We were careless in the way we communicated
prophetic words. This was hurtful in a lot of cases.”
4. “We were wrong in the way we promoted the city
church concept. I still believe in it, but now I believe
it’s a unity based on friendship.”[33]

That’s good, but weren’t any of the prophecies, prophets, or
mystical experiences blatantly false? What about false teaching?
Do you still believe in the city wide church? Should Bob Jones
have been renounced as a false prophet?

In all fairness, KCF and Vineyard Church did release a list of
errors they had discovered and were correcting.

Lack of accountability for prophecies that do not come true or
do not bear witness to the person receiving the ministry.

The attempt by some prophetic ministers to establish doctrine
or practice by revelation alone, apart from clear biblical support.

Dogmatic assertions in delivery of prophetic words.

Revealing negative prophetic words in public without first
confronting the individual.

Giving prophetic words that affect a movement or church without
going first to the appropriate levels of authority.

The use of prophetic gifting for controlling purposes.

Manifesting an attitude of superiority through the possession
of a secret body of information. Amos 3:7 is true surely the
sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing His plan to His
servants the prophets. But the prophetic people are not to wear
a garment of pride because of this knowledge.[34]

In 1991, Jones finally did have his messages pulled from the
Vineyard Tape Catalog, after confessing to a moral failure. He is
still cited as a credible prophet by many within the “prophetic
movement,” including many of those associated with the Toronto
Blessing.

In conclusion, there is a severe judgement for following and
supporting false prophets. I believe it was the acceptance and
“covering” of these “prophets” that immediately accelerated this
revival of spiritual drunkenness.

Jer 23:16 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Hearken not unto
the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they
make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart,
and not out of the mouth of the Lord.

Ezekiel 13:1-9 And the word of the Lord came unto me,
saying, Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of
Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that
prophesy out of their own hearts. Hear ye the word of
the Lord; Thus said the Lord God; Woe unto the foolish
prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen
nothing! O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in
the deserts. Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither
made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the
battle in the day of the Lord. They have seen vanity and
lying divination, saying, The Lord saith: and the Lord
hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope
that they would confirm the word. Have ye not seen a
vain vision, and have ye not spoke a lying divination,
whereas ye say, The Lord saith it; albeit I have not
spoken? Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye
have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I
am against you, saith the Lord God. And mine hand shall
be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine
lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people,
neither shall they be written in the writing of the house
of the Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of
Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord God.

[TBC: While false doctrines of the New Age and their perversion of Scripture are quickly recognized by most evangelicals, a growing percentage of evangelicals accept the same lies as taught by high-profile pastors, authors, and speakers. Calling themselves prophets or apostles, false teachers draw individuals after themselves into various "kingdom-now" cults and heresies under various names: Joel's Army, Manifest Sons of God, Manchild Company, Overcomers, New Breed, New Wine, Third Wave, Restoration, Reconstruction, and the New Apostolic Reformation. Consider the following corruption of Scripture as "interpreted" by by new ager Neale Donald Walsh.]
“God’s Children, Who Art in Heaven

“My Children, who art in Heaven, hallowed is your name. Your kingdom is come, and your will is done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.

“You are given this day your daily bread, and you are forgiven your debts, and your trespasses, exactly to the degree that you have forgiven those who trespass against you.

“Lead your Self not into temptation, but deliver your Self from the evils you have created.

“For thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, forever.

“Amen.

(Neale Donald Walsch, Conversations With God, Book 3, Page 366)

[Now compare Walsh's concepts with the following statements.]

“We are on earth as extensions of God to finish the work He began. We are the essence of God, His on-going incarnation in the world.” –Earl Paulk, Held in the Heavens, 1985, p.125.

“The living Word of God, Jesus Christ, was conceived in the womb of a virgin. The Word became flesh in the God-Man Jesus Christ (John 1:1 [1]). Likewise, the Word of God must be made flesh in the Church in order for us to bear witness to the Kingdom which God has called us to demonstrate.” Ibid., p.60.

“When the Spirit of Christ comes into the physical world, He must enter through a physical body… When Christ first entered our world as a child, it was Mary whom God chose to give Christ birth. Mary’s life symbolized the qualities the Church must possess to walk in the fullness of Christ … even now, he trembles and the heavens watch in awe, for I say to you, once again, the virgin is with child. Before Jesus Himself returns, the last virgin Church shall become pregnant with the promise of God. Out of her travail, the Body of Christ shall come forth, raised to the full statute of its Head, the Lord Jesus. Corporately manifested in holiness, power and love, the Bride of Christ shall arise.” –Francis Frangipane, In the Presence of God, 1994.

“Every man who has been born again is an incarnation and Christianity is a miracle. The believer is as much an incarnation as was Jesus of Nazareth.” –Kenneth Hagin, The Incarnation, December 1980, p.13.

“[Man] was created on terms of equality with God, and he could stand in God’s presence without any consciousness of inferiority…God made us as much like Himself as possible…He made us the same class of being that He is Himself…Man lived in the realm of God. He lived on terms equal with God…[The] believer is called Christ…That’s who we are; we’re Christ” –Kenneth Copeland , Zoe: The God-Kind of Life, 1989, pp.35-36, 41.

“Who are you? Come on, who are you? Come on, say it: ‘Sons of God!’ Come on, say it! And what does work inside us, brother, is that manifestation of the expression of all that God is and all that God has. And when we stand up here, brother, you’re not looking at Morris Cerullo; you’re looking at God. You’re looking at Jesus.” –Morris Cerullo, The Endtime Manifestation of the Sons of God, World Evangelism – Tape 1.

“When you say, ‘I am a Christian,’ you are saying, ‘I am mashiach,’ in the Hebrew. I am a little messiah walking on earth, in other words. That is a shocking revelation… May I say it like this? You are a little god on earth running around” –Benny Hinn, Praise-a-Thon, TBN, November 6.

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils” (1 Tim 4:1)”Yes, amen! Yes, Lord, amen, yes Lord! Ooohhhhh, yes, the Holy glory is on you Matthew, the Holy glory. That’s right! That’s right!, and Father we pray that you’d put an anointing of a preacher on Matthew, an anointing of fire; let the coals come from the altar of the Lord, Matthew, and touch your lips, and Lord I pray for faith and ignition, let fire come out of his stomach, Lord, let the fire of God come on his back, And Lord I pray that Matthew would stand up in faith, that’s true faith Matthew, believe it!

IT’S THE TIME TO BIRTH THE BABY. It’s the time for the outpouring of the spirit. Believe it!”This was the prayer of Wes and Stacy Campbell, leaders of the Toronto renewal, over a man called Matthew at the Seattle Fire And Reign Conference, on February 14, 1995.I will let the person who attended this conference sum it up in her own words:”Last night Wes Campbell had the people break into small groups of around seven or so, (there were 650 at least in attendance, standing room only after that). Each group was to be as it were, “a nest”. They were to put one in the middle and pray for the “fire”. When they saw any evidence of the fire beginning to “manifest”, they were to “fan” the flames. They actually make all kinds of bizarre movements to stir up a breeze or the “wind” of the spirit. As you would fan a small fire, they jumped, and fanned frenetically, and blew on the “spark” to get it going.”It came across to me as a bizarre and shamanistic display, and I was in pagan Nepal for three months, where the idols Molech and Baal (forms of Shiva and Vishnu) are still worshipped and the King is a deity. Yet I never saw there anything as bizarre as what I observed last week. “Some would be suddenly knocked backwards as they started to receive “it”, buckling over eventually and falling backward. Some would lie in awkward positions at this stage jerking periodically and staring in a gaze at what appeared to be nothing. Later as they started to convulse, they would scream and jerk and shriek. The ‘midwives’ kept blowing and ‘fanning’ – they hover to “birth the baby” as it is born.”Others would progress to the “birthing” stage, where they grabbed their middles and rolled around as if they were truly in labor or had a sudden case of appendicitis, rocking back and forth, yelling at the tops of their lungs periodically as they were gripped with spasmodic “labor pains”.

“Wes Campbell at one time indicated that those who had the belly pains were being “imparted the spirit of intercession”"Wes Campbell stated on Tuesday night that the greatest prophetic voices in the world today are Paul Cain, Bob Jones, Mike Bickle, and John Wimber! In my opinion, they must be teaching Manifest Sons of God teachings at the ministry level of the Vineyard. If challenged, they will probably say, “Oh no we don’t teach that or believe that!” But the evidence I saw this week certainly suggests they both believe AND teach it!”TRIGGER WORDSThere are several words that seem to trigger the manifestations, reminding me of post-hypnotic subliminal suggestions: More, Midwife, The Baby, Come Lord, Battle. At the mention of these words, even casually in a sentence, they will begin to clap and shout and “worship” rather profoundly, and “manifest”. I am shocked that they would use this word, but “manifest” they do, with jerking, jolting, flexing, bending, sudden inexplicable body movements, grimacing, twisting, shrieking, shouting, jumping, etc – it is absolutely bizarre. [Other words known to trigger manifestations: Fill, Glory, Fire, Suddenly, and Run with it!.]“One woman, [named in original transcript], testified (as her body did the most outlandish things) that she believed the Lord had called her to be a ‘midwife’ of the church.”From what I saw and heard, I believe they are being taught that the Church is the woman in Rev. 12, and that the baby is the second coming of Christ in His body, the Church. That is what I believe they are “birthing”. [The Manchild]. Many times I heard them praying for the “holy glory”, where I would have expected them to say Holy Spirit. In any case, you can see they are definitely “birthing the baby” at the Vineyard!”What is this baby?

Why do the Toronto leadership believe there is a birth process going on? To what will this lead?Let’s first look at the secular understanding of these things. There is a way that seems good and acceptable to man, yet the end of it is death. It is the humanistic endeavor to establish a New Order of perfection on this earth, in effect, to return to Eden. In the world and in false religions, it has always been believed that a critical time of tribulation, or a birthing process, will lead to a utopian new age for all mankind.BIRTH OF A NEW AGEThis Autumn, the State of The World Forum will be convened by Michail Gorbachev in San Francisco in order to “consider what principles should govern the next phase of human development”. The Mission Statement from the Executive Summary for the World Forum states that it will: “focus on the fundamental challenges and opportunities confronting humanity as we enter the next century and a new millennium. It is being held in the belief that at this momentous juncture in history, we are giving birth to the first global civilization.”It quotes Vaclav Havel, President of the Czech Republic, as saying, “There are good reasons for suggesting that the modern age has ended. Many things indicate that we are going through a transitional period, when it seems that something is on the way out and something else is painfully being born. It is as if something were crumbling, decaying and exhausting itself, while something else, still indistinct, were arising from the rubble”.

All false religions and ideologies work towards the restoration of mankind and creation, but they look to human wisdom and supernatural empowerment to achieve it. Their labor is futile:”We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen”. Isa 26:16-21M. Scott-Peck, a well-known and respected new-age author, calls the coming of the new age a birthing process:”When I think of what is required to bring an end to the arms race… it seems to me that a virtual second coming is required. In fact, that’s what its all about. With all due respect to the traditional millennialists, I think what is meant by the second coming is not the bodily return of that one solitary man, but the coming of the mystical body of His true church, the coming of the Spirit of Christ to everyone, sweeping through the nations, sweeping through the world. Father, make us like Mary, to give birth to your Son, to give Him to everyone.”

(1)THE GROWING CHILD WITHINSome see the birth as the development of an inner spiritual christ-child. Matthew Fox says this: “Indeed, the birthing of the Cosmic Christ is the purpose of the incarnation…Divinity wants to birth the Cosmic Christ in each and every individual”

(2)Wallace Hickey, the husband of the popular teacher Marylin Hickey is proud of the fact that he can “prophesy at the drop of a hat” and he does it in rhyme, too. At one Rodney Howard Browne meeting that I watched on video, he put some startling words into the mouth of God. Hickey also spoke of a growing god, like a child within us. Did his inspiration for this prophecy come from the same source as that of Matthew Fox?”The Spirit in this very hour says, Don’t think you’ve seen it all as you go in the Holy Ghost way; God is new and He’s a growing person as anything that is alive. So you don’t have to work it up or try in your flesh to strive. Just let God be God in you as a child, as a child be. God would will that the whole of everyone in eternity would be like He is, never old, ever young, growing, a growing thing.”

(3)How can the eternal, everlasting God be “a growing thing” unless we now have a theology of God who must once more become “as a child” and grow to fullness “within you” – the Church. However, the inward growing “christ-child” and the outward birth of a global spirituality, are apparently part of the same event.A leading new-ager, Barbara Marx-Hubbard, has written several books showing the way to “Planetary Pentecost” – her term for the world instant of co-operation that will lead to a higher consciousness for all. One of them is called “The Book of Co-Creation, The Revelation: Our Crisis is a Birth”. In it she offers: “a positive alternative to the Armeggedon scenario in the Biblical Book of Revelation”. Her “inner christ” tells her:”In each person on Earth there is an inner being in a chrysalis, ready to be born. Turn to it for guidance. Let it speak to you. It is growing rapidly now. The signal for its birth en masse is the gathering of the attracted people by the sound of the voice of God – the ‘trumpet’ that shall surely sound. Then we shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye…At the Quantum Instant, Christ-consciousness will emerge at once in many who are prepared”

(4)This new-ager uses biblical terms, like the trumpet-blast that will lead to our being changed in the twinkling of an eye. But she clearly applies them in a totally different way. Watch out for this! Today many are using Bible terms, but what do they mean by them?NEW JERUSALEM – HEAVEN ON EARTH”These words: Virgin Mary, Jesus, the elect, Israel, the New Jerusalem, must be REINTERPRETED now. They do not relate to doctrines, ideologies, institutions, powers or principalities. They relate to human potentials in every person on Earth…The New Jerusalem is our potential, collectively, to transcend all creature/human limitations through the harmonious use of our capacities, achieving a society of Universal Humans whose minds and bodies are total reflections of the mind of God”

(5)So says Marx Hubbard. We can expect this sort of thing from a new-ager; but what is the excuse for Christians redefining the New Jerusalem? Whereas we know from Rev 21 that only God can create a new heavens and earth, in the new teaching the Church creates a new environment on earth by progressively applying the redemptive power of Jesus.Restorationist, Chris Seaton writes:”If the spiritual change which happens to a Christian believer can result in a physical change, why can the same not be true of the whole creation? If this were so, then the “new heavens and the new earth” could well signify a transformation rather than a replacement. Perhaps the power of God touching the physical elements is just what would have happened if Adam had brought eternity into Eden through the tree of life…further, the environmental disasters of Matthew 24 are described in a very interesting way: “all these are the beginning of the birthpangs”… birth-pangs hurt, but there is new life at their end…(Christ) has restored the harmony of the Creator and his image. In turn, this restored harmony enables the whole order of creation to be fulfilled. This brings us back to Romans 8 and creation waiting in eager expectation for “the sons of God to be revealed”. Again, we understand that these groanings represent “the pains of childbirth…” But what about heaven? Heaven simply describes the place where God is…in the prophetic vision of Revelation 21, John “saw the Holy City the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God”. John apparently saw that heaven was to be firmly located in the transformed physical universe, which God had originally designed.”

(6)The Toronto outpouring is seen as part of this process by some. Rick Joyner, once deeply involved with Vineyard and the Kansas City Prophets, commented on the current renewal:”I don’t think that the New Jerusalem has come yet, but everywhere there is such expectation in the air, and so many good things are breaking out everywhere, I see many reasons to be very encouraged… Canada is on the verge of a great spiritual advance. There is evidence that a great spiritual army is being mobilized and prepared to go forward. I expect many other movements to gain attention in the near future. This is all the beginning of something very big”

(7).Of course, the Bible shows plainly that Jesus Christ is our only Saviour, and that world redemption and restoration comes only through his return as King, Judge and eternal Ruler of this planet. We deviate from this hope at our peril. However, scripture tells us that there will come a time, in the latter days, when Christians “will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables”. (2 Tim 4:3-4)That word “fables” [MUTHOS, myths] denotes a mysterious, secret doctrine that is preached only to the initiated. Its root is MUEO, a word which means “to initiate into the mysteries”. It was used of the old Gnostic heresies and cult mysteries.NEW REVELATIONSNow we have a new revelation that cannot be understood by the mind but must be received by the heart, by spiritual initiation. It comes with mighty power to deceive. I refer of course to what is known as the Toronto Blessing. This power requires the surrender of the rational mind. A recent advertisement for meetings in Israel said this:”Theology alone cannot keep us on target. When Yeshua was born in a manger in Bethlehem, it was not what the foremost theologians of the day were looking for. That knowledge only came by way of revelation”.

(8)It is true that “theology” of the biblical kind cannot explain the Toronto teachings. That is because they are unbiblical! The laughter now present in meetings is believed by the leaders to be evidence that the Church has entered the feast of Jubilee (Joy) – Tabernacles – wherein God comes to dwell spiritually with his people, and consenting believers receive the anointing of fullness, the third anointing of the inner sanctum that brings full sonship and incorporation into the manchild company of Rev. 12.Jill Austin, a prophetess attested and used by the Vineyard, stated that:”Prophetically, the child Isaac, which means ‘Laughter’ is being released in nation after nation as the new wine is being passed”

(9)Some of you will recall that Paul Cain and R.T. Kendall of Westminster Chapel launched an initiative in London in October 1992 at the “Word And The Spirit” conference. They called it the “Post-Charismatic Era”, [reported in Mainstream in Spring 1993 issue under the title "Somebody Moved The Goalposts."] According to Cain and other leaders, the present charismatic movement is only an “Ishmael” and the true child of promise is “Isaac”, a trans-denominational super-church that will bring about global revival. In that issue as in many others, I warned of a false revival to come, “with a drawing power and persuasion almost impossible to resist”. Now it is here, and it is called “Toronto”!Others confirm that Sarah’s child “Isaac” (laughter) is emerging from the womb of the worldwide Church. The following quote shows that it is perceived as a corporate endtimes army that will bring in the Kingdom:”Sarah is a type of the Church. The Church is ‘withered’ and its womb is dried up in many places, but God is sending a revival of joy to awaken and renew the Church so that she can bring forth the ‘man-child’ of joy, even the army of overcomers who will go forth in the likeness and image of the Lord in these last days”

(10)The Army which is to take the nations for God in a mighty display of signs and wonders has to be “birthed”. During a Toronto pastors’ meeting, Byron Mode of Dallas testified:”What’s happening right now is a romantic thing. God is romancing his Church, and through that romance he says I’m going to then IMPREGNATE and through the IMPREGNATION will then come NEW BIRTH, and we’re in the romancing and IMPREG-NATION stage right now but we’ve got to pray in and cry out for the harvest. The harvest isn’t just gonna’ happen. This is the pre-stage of it, of God’s romancing of his Church…..”

(11)This is no new teaching, sprung up overnight from Toronto! No, it has been in the inner chambers of the Church for centuries, only emerging at brief intervals for an airing before being recognized as heresy and banned by Church leaders. Sadly, the Church is too gullible, too gutless and too bound by compromise to take the same measures today.Instead of opposing these heretical teachings, today the UK Church is almost completely ensnared by them. One supporter of the “sonship” doctrine, Bill Britton, says this: “sonship is the very heart of all Kingdom messages being preached in these last days”. I believe he is right.

(12)Another supporter writes:’”This movement [Restoration] started in the late 1940’s and infiltrated into every Pentecostal group in the 1950’s. During this time it was known as the “Latter Rain” and “Revival” movement. By the early 1960’s very few Christians were knowledgeable of the movement, except the Pentecostal churches which had been affected by it. However, in the mid 1960’s, the Holy Spirit had spread the truths and spiritual experiences of the restoration doctrine into every church group within Christendom. This move of the Holy Spirit…became known as the charismatic movement”

(13)CHARISMATIC PIONEERSA recent book interviewing the leaders of the Restoration movement makes reference to the early days of the movement when pioneers like Arthur Wallis were inspired by the zeal of the latter-rain teachers to re-establish the apostolic and prophetic ministry of the Church. In the introduction to his book, Brian Hewitt, once Editor of “Redemption” magazine, comments that in 1970 Arthur Wallis returned from New Zealand convinced that a “cosmic upheaval” involving the Church would usher in the Lord’s Return, and had set up meetings to accomplish this. The American Fort Lauderdale group, he says, had embarked on the same agenda and “the leaders of the new churches all shared the same goal: the rebuilding, or “restoring” of the present-day Church to its New Testament splendor. And they shared the same convictions: that God was actively at work in the last days to bring this rebuilding to pass. Those Christians who had come to believe that a period of lukewarmness and backsliding in the Church would be a sign of the nearness of Christ’s return were wrong – the era of the apostle, not the day of apostasy was at hand.”

(14)I could not have said it better myself. The roots of the Restoration movement both here and in the States are fixed firmly in the soil of the 1940’s Latter-Rain heresy. Roger Forster, interviewed for the above book, tells of the great influence that men like T. Austin-Sparks and George H. Lang had upon his formative years in the restoration movement. (P. 112) Yet, T. Austin-Sparks taught that by a process of attaining “sonship” and eventual “adoption” into the “manchild company” a small group of overcomers would be raised up to take the throne of government over this earth.

(15)You see, at the very heart of the restoration doctrine is the belief that biblical teachings on social decline, religious apostasy, the tribulation, the antichrist reign and the rapture of the Church ARE WRONG.For centuries, Christians have believed that Jesus our Saviour came as the FINAL Word of God; His work is all-sufficient to destroy the power of sin and to win redemption for those who trust in Him. Not only is our present hope fixed in Him, but our future salvation also. But now some teachers suggest that a corporate christ, a perfected Manchild arising from the womb of the world-wide Church, must come to complete the deliverance of mankind! Here is a quote from a well-known Christian leader:”Secure this thought in your mind: when the Spirit of Christ comes into the physical world, He must enter through a physical body…When Christ first entered our world as a child, it was Mary whom God chose to give Christ birth. Mary’s life symbolized the qualities the Church must possess to walk in the fullness of Christ…[God is preparing us] as He did Mary to give birth to the ministry of His Son. Even now, in the spiritual womb of the virgin Church, the holy purpose of Christ is growing, awaiting maturity; ready to be born in power in the timing of God…the virgin Church is “in labor and in pain to give birth” (Rev 12:1-2)…even now, hell trembles and the heavens watch in awe, for I say to you, once again, the virgin is with child. Before Jesus Himself returns, the last virgin Church shall become pregnant with the promise of God. Out of her travail, the Body of Christ shall come forth, raised to the full statute of its Head, the Lord Jesus. Corporately manifested i! n holiness, power and love, the Bride of Christ shall arise”

(16)Now the Toronto Experience is being presented as the fulfillment of all these allegories. This is no touch of God for salvation or sanctification. No, the former anointing of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost was only a foretaste, according to these new teachings. Now Christians must receive an anointing “without measure”, a corporate anointing which will achieve “the birthing forth of My glorious Church”.

(17)HERESY MUST BE REJECTEDChurch leaders will insist that they do not believe nor teach the heretical aspects of the latter-rain doctrines; yet I believe the system is one coherent whole and adopting some parts of the teaching will inevitably lead to adopting the whole. Many leaders simply use the terminology without understanding it – but ignorance is no excuse, since the concepts are unbiblical and ought to be rejected outright. When comparisons are made, suddenly it becomes apparent that a central core of doctrine is feeding into the revival. The same phrases, words and scriptures keep cropping up; the same inexplicable ideas which mean little by themselves but trigger off alarm bells when put together. There is an overall cohesive structure to these events that will elude any who have a parochial viewpoint on their own small world and their own small experiences. Only by taking a long view of global events can the foundational heresies be perceived.I would liken some objectors to the well-known blind men who stumbled into an elephant. The one at the front grasped the trunk and cried “it’s a snake!” and the one at the side felt the body and said “it’s a wall!” and the one at the back felt the hind leg and said “It’s a tree!”. None of them was right.Don’t be like the blind man who only “sees” the small piece that belongs to your own experience. Be wise, and look around you; read ALL the data; get hold of ALL the quotes; listen to ALL the tapes; read ALL the books – even then without spiritual discernment it is difficult to grasp a movement as insubstantial as a spider’s web whose links and knots are spread out throughout the worldwide Church.THE CHURCH IN CHILDBIRTH?During his visit to the UK earlier this year, John Wimber was asked about the animal noises being made by Toronto participants. His reply was revealing:”There’s nothing in scripture that supports this kind of phenomenon that I can see and I can’t think of anything throughout the church age that would. So I feel no obligation to explain it. It’s just phenomena. It’s just people responding to God….I think we ought to ignore it… I think we’re all delighted with babies but I don’t think very many of us want to attend the birthing process. And I believe what we have in the church is a birthing process. ”

(18)Wimber seems to believe that the strange grunting, shrieking and howling noises are like the labour pains of a woman in birth, just as we saw at the Fire & Reign Conference hosted by the Campbells. What we are dealing with here is no ordinary revival. It is about the bringing forth of a perfected Church! It is about the Glory of the Manifested Presence of God returning to the Body of Christ in order to overshadow her and bring forth the Manchild of Joy! It is about that glory of God, the River of Life, flowing from the Living Temple, filling the earth and bringing about universal obedience to God, sweeping away all evil and establishing the Kingdom upon earth. It is the birthpangs of the New Age! Keri Jones, writing in “Covenant News” the newsletter of the Bradford Restoration group says this:”Before the coming of the Lord Jesus, the world will see a world-wide visitation of the Holy Spirit. God said he would pour out his Spirit on all flesh. All flesh indicates both the just and the unjust. God’s purpose is to see the earth filled with his glory… restoration speaks of the ultimate goal God is directing all history toward. As we experience the flow of blessing coming down from above, we can expect the river of life to bring about the culmination of his purpose in this generation. We will see the church filled with glory in a greater way than anything seen previously. How can this be?. Malachi prophesied “see, I will send my messenger who will prepare the way before me, Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple, the messenger of the covenant whom you desire, will come”. The implications are clear…the church as it lives out the word, will arise to conquer all its opposing forces: the world, the flesh and the devil.”SUDDENLYHere is another common thread running through the renewal literature and tapes: “SUDDENLY” the Lord will return to His Temple (the Church!)” The meaning (as above) is often ambiguous, for while some interpret this verse to mean the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus, others imply a “coming” of the Spirit, a return of the Shekinah Glory of God to the Living Temple.Paul Cain, (held up by the Toronto leadership as a great pro-phet and leader in the Church), is unclear on the subject of the return of Jesus. He says: “I don’t know what the Second Coming means to you, there’s so many different returns of the Lord, or comings of the Lord, I don’t know, we have a cardinal doctrine like that, but let me tell you he’s coming to YOU, he’s coming to his Church, he’s coming to abide in you, to take up his abode in you.”

(19)Yet in my understanding, the Lord never left the Church, nor are we waiting for a spiritual return of Jesus, nor a “glory” to descend from heaven to perfect the church and renew the earth. This is a pagan dream, a replacement for the true gospel of Jesus Christ as Messiah and Only Lord!Paul Cain describes the coming this way:”We are the Sanctuary, we are the House of God…and I tell you God is going to suddenly appear in his House and the whole world is going to say ‘don’t try to lead me to your God, don’t try to tell me where he is, I SEE him, he’s living in you, he’s living in His House, he’s living in His Sanctuary’ – for you’re going to be the Sanctuary of God…”

(20)THE SHEKINAH GLORYThis experience, of the Lord coming in glory and power to indwell his people, is seen in allegory as the return of the Ark to the Temple, or the return of the Shekinah Glory. Many believe this “glory cloud” must be seen visibly, as it was in the dedication of Solomon’s Temple, when “the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God”. (2 Chr 5:14)Rodney Howard Browne, in his meetings around the world, often relates the story of the glory cloud which became visible in the early part of his ministry. He says it all began to happen in April 1989. During a series of meetings in Albany, New York, RHB and his wife began to desire to see the glory of God manifested. He says that on the Tuesday morning, “as I was preaching, the glory of the Lord came into the building. I felt it just like someone put a heavy blanket upon me and the presence of the Lord filled the house. A lady was sitting about three rows back and I noticed she was blinking and looking at the ceiling… she said she saw a thick fog or mist, like a cloud, come down and fill the room. The lights and the ceiling disappeared.”

(21)This represented to Howard Browne the launch of his ministry and divine favor upon it. I wonder if it also meant to him that the Shekinah was beginning to return to the Church? Now, six years later, the Glory is predicted to return in fullness. The following “prophecy” was sent to the Vineyard’s New Wine Bulletin Board, an electronic messaging system frequented by supporters of the Toronto Experience. It was shared because, in the author’s estimation “it is a reflection of the hearts of so many here on this list.”" ….For the Glory of God, my Glory, says the Lord, the Heavy Presence that shook the very foundations of the earth as I proclaimed Goodness and Mercy, has come once again to dwell in a tabernacle of flesh…. You are temples, you are vessels, you are receptacles, you are containers of the very Fires of Heaven, measured into you as you will receive it. Some taking much, moving from Glory to Glory, changed by the nearness of my Glory, ever growing, ever changing, ever allowing Me more of you. … Allow my Fire to purge you, to try you, to refine you, to cleanse you and then allow my Glory to radiate from you as you become life and the Light of a dark world. For the Glory of God, my Glory says the Lord, is soon to come in His fullness, and where once men were shielded as I proclaimed Mercy and Grace, finally I will proclaim righteous judgment… yes, even all that is not of Faith will burn in the very presence of my Glory in you, in you, in you, in you, IN YOU!

(22)MODERN TRANSLATIONSUnfortunately, modern translations of the Bible make it easier to accept this heresy. The Authorized Version has the blessed hope as the appearing of our great God in glory. Most of the other translations have the appearing of the glory! The AV says:Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Titus 2:13One example of the move away from the personal, visible return of our Lord God and Saviour Jesus Christ, to the appearance of a “glory” is this from the Good News Bible, though many other new translations also change this verse: “as we wait for the blessed day we hope for, when the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ will appear….” The Glory, in the new understanding, is the visible manifestation of the Spirit. How long is it before Christians look for the return of the “spirit” of Christ, before (or perhaps even instead of) the physical return of Jesus. In the adopted jargon of the charismatic church, “the Lord is coming TO his church before he comes FOR his church.” as Paul Cain confirms:”…we haven’t even touched on this thing about when he comes UPON us, like the Holy Ghost came upon Mary and she brought forth the Son of the living God – aren’t you looking for the Holy Ghost to come upon us? “I want you to know he’s coming TO the church before he comes FOR the church. He’s gonna perfect the church, so the church can be the Image, and be him, and be his representation. In my father’s house are many mansions, many abodes, many dwelling places, and he promises now, it’s not a trip to heaven, but it’s really him coming to make his abode IN US, so I guess, look out planet earth, the Lord is coming back again, he’s coming to his people!

(23)ANTICHRISTSince significant portions of the Church accept these new teachings while at the same time denying the personal antichrist to come, we may see a sinister new interpretation of the following verse:”Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, (I Jn 4:2-3)If you are standing outside this heresy, and you refuse to accept that the Spirit of Christ has come in the flesh of His Body, the Church – then what does that make you? Yes, an antichrist!Certainly, we live in “perilous times”. But God stands ready to protect, guide and shepherd all those who are His own. We commit ourselves wholly unto Him, for our future is in His hands!

The Latter Rain movement of the late 40’s had given birth to numerous other sub-teachings. The Manifest Sons of God was divided into two major sects. The Walk, and the Body of Christ. The Walk came out of the Latter Rain Movement under the apostleship of John Robert Stevens, who like Paul Cain and others was a William Branham disciple. His was the Church of the Living Word in Redondo Beach, California.

The Charismatic Dominionism expressed in spiritual warfare and the current signs and wonders movement is largely an extension of the Manifest Sons of God doctrine. Manifest Sons teachings are Kingdom Dominionist: they believe in restoration of the Church, restoration of the 5 fold ministry with the offices of apostles and prophets, having authority through its leaders by strong shepherding and discipleship. A perfection of the saints, immortalization, and the attainment of being Christ as we become just like Christ in nature and ability. The Manifest Sons of God doctrine has an eschatology of Dominionism through the perfecting of the saints under the leadership guidance of the latter-day prophets and apostles. They mostly deny a rapture in the classic sense. Some replace it with individual raptures, a collective transformation to immortality on earth, or none at all. This quote is representative of the teaching AAthe doctrine of the Rapture was a great and effective ruse of the enemy to implant in the Church a retreat mentality … already this yoke has been cast off by the majority in the advancing church, and it will soon be cast off by all. (Rick Joyner, THE HARVEST 1989 /1990 revised booklet on pg.121) We are talking about the great and blessed hope of his return. In its place is triumphalism by installing a new leadership for the Church. If there is no rapture than there is no resurrection, they are simultaneous events! Considering what Joyner first said he later changed it in his 1993 printing of the Harvest as it became the doctrine of the pre-tribulation rapture (p.201) In this he fares no better as he takes the position that the Church will endure through the tribulation. despite the Scriptures teaching that the saints will be overcome in the tribulation, and few will survive. Hardly a scenario that manifest sons of God can agree with. this becomes even more problematic when brought to its conclusion of the Church found ruling when Christ comes back. Certainly to look forward to the Lords coming as any time is not retreating but hopeful. One does not need to abandon everything to do this and wait on the top of a hill in white robes as some did over century ago. God’s people are going to start to exercise rule, and they’re going to take dominion over the Power of Satan. They’re going to bring diabolical princes down. The dark powers that hover over the Parliament buildings of the nations are going to be paralyzed by the corporate prayer of an authoritative community. As the rod of His strength goes out of Zion, He’ll change legislation. He’ll chase the devil off the face of God’s earth, and God’s people together, doing the will of God, will bring about God’s purposes and Gods reign. (Ern Baxter, National Men’s Shepherds Conference, Kansas City, Missouri, 1975) The apostles will rule the Church through establishing independent churches, unaffiliated with the corrupt denominations (Branham’s teaching). The exception which is currently underway, is that denominational churches would abandon being separate, join the movement coming under their leadership. It is essential to the Latter Rain movement for the church to be unified as one, under a central leadership. Otherwise Christ cannot be incarnated (manifested) in the Church and give his power to conquer the world for Christ.

That the world will be conquered through an elite group of overcomers who produce signs and wonders unlike anything ever seen, even in the early church by the apostles. This they believe will lead us to the greatest revival of history. An endtime harvest of billions of souls, where the majority of the world will be won to Christ and the kingdom would be established or ready to be received by Christ. This harvest will be so great that no one will look back at the early church as a standard; all will be saying that the Lord has certainly saved His best wine for last. The early church was a firstfruits offering, truly this will be a harvest! It was said of the Apostle Paul that he was turning the world upside down; it will be said of the apostles soon to be anointed that they have turned an upside down world right side up. Nations will tremble at the mention of their name. (Rick Joyner, Restoration, may/June 1988, the Harvest) What does Joyner mean they will turn the world rightside up?Are they going to undo the work of the Apostle Paul, or maybe he means a new thing altogether. Angelic appearances will be common to the saints and a visible glory of the Lord will appear upon some for extended periods of time as power flows through them. There will be no plague, disease, or physical condition, including lost limbs, AIDS, poison gas, or radiation, which will resist the healing and miracle gifts working in the saints during this time. (Rick Joyner, The Harvest, 128-129) The apostles and prophets would give blessings upon those whom bless, and curses upon those whom they curse. The power of their words would bring results. They will complete the conquest of the nations before Christ returns. The conquering will be done as Joel’s army AA a group of immortal beings that will bring judgment upon the ungodly and all who do not accept the authority of the NEW Apostles and prophets. The tribulation is replaced with manifestations of power executing Gods judgment through Joels army to cleanse the earth of the evil and bring order to establish his kingdom. Those who go further into the different levels will achieve a certain degree of holiness under the direction of the apostles and prophets. They will overcome death, and will become immortal. Rom.8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. The Earth and all of creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God, the time when they will come into their maturity and immortalization.

When the Church receives its full inheritance and redemption then creation will be redeemed from its cursed condition of decay, change and death… the Church has a responsibility and ministry to the rest of creation. Earth and Its natural creation Is anxiously waiting for the Church to reach full maturity and come to full sonship. When the Church realizes its full sonship, its bodily redemption will cause a redemptive chain reaction throughout all of creation. ( Bill Hamon p. 385 THE ETERNAL CHURCH) This is what is called in the new age the paradigm shift, while biblical terms are used it is identical in its process and affect. I see the great year of Jubilee, when we shall pass through the veil into the very Presence of the fullness of God, to be filled with this fullness and go forth proclaiming liberty to all of creation. Romans 8 calls this the Manifestation of the Sons of God, and Says the whole creation is groaning and crying for this day. …This is the ultimate anointing! This is the fullness of the Spirit! This is the Spirit without measure that Jesus had, spoken of in John 3:34, reserved until the end time for His Brethren!’ (EAGLE SAINTS ARISE, Bill Britton) This whole teaching is based on a distortion of Romans 8:19 which speaks of the Manifestation of the Sons of God. The belief is that some will obtain immortality by incarnating Christ before he returns. What is it that all creation is waiting for? According to orthodox Christianity, all creation awaits the removal of the Curse of Futility, sin placed upon it by God from the Fall of Adam. What they neglect is the context and the other passages that explain this event. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. The adoption the redeeming of our body, when, how?

Phil. 3:20-21: For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. 1Thess. 4:16-17: For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Cor.15:51-54: Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed–in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory. After the Ascension, the angels told the Apostles who watched, Acts 1:11 AA This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven. The Holy Spirit was sent soon after he ascended nearly 2,000 years age, there is no new sending of the spirit for the Church, nor any other way for Christ to come back but the Scriptural way. He comes back in the same body he left in, not in the church as the body. Anyone who says differently is denying what the revelation of the Scriptures say. Heb.9:28: Also Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. It is Christ who appears and changes us, not some event separate from this. We wait for him, we cannot accomplish this on our own. It his coming that is connected to this even, and whether one believes in a pre, mid, or post rapture does not change the connection of his coming for this to occur. It has always been understood that Jesus Himself is the One Who would do the restoring of the kingdom. When he comes again at the second coming the curse on the earth will be lifted we would be changed and he would reverse the affects of the curse on the earth. But biblically it is not until after the millennium that the new heavens and earth replace the former and death will be no more(Rev.21:4). But, those who espouse the Manifested Sons of God doctrine have a different take on this. To them, all creation eagerly awaits the time when the true sons of God will finally realize who they are in Christ, conquerors and overcomers, and will come into their true Glory and Power as the Sons of God. It is they who will be the ones who will remove the curse, overcome all of God’s enemies, even death! The historic church has been waiting for God the son in the 2nd coming. They teach that God is waiting for you and I.

In Jewel Van der Merwe’s book, Joel’s Army, she quotes Earl Paulk a influential Kingdom Now pastor, he explains his application of Romans 8:19 The last enemy to be conquered is death. Who will conquer it? A mature Church will come forth with the kind of authority and power that will be able to stand in the very face of Satan. When the Church reaches that level of maturity, God will be able to say, ‘This generation of the Church does not need to die. She has reached a place of maturity. I will translate her because her maturity pleases Me.’ Not only will they not have diseases, they will also not die. They will have the kind of imperishable bodies that are talked about in the 15th chapter of Corinthians … this army is invincible. If you have intimacy with God, they can’t kill you. ( Paul Cain, AAJoel’s Army, 1990 p. 218) [For more on Paul Cain's revelation of Joels army go here] Jack Deere says, AA they won’t be able to kill this army. John Wimber as well said, those in this army will have the ‘kind of anointing …his kind of power … anyone who wants to harm them must die. This is Joel’s Army.

Bill Hamon writes, The Church will gain victory over the last enemy, death. Victory speaks of a battle being fought. The last day saints will wage and win a warfare against death. The last generation saints will come to translating faith in preparation for participation in the translation. (The Eternal Church, P.349) Yes, sin, sickness and disease, spiritual death, poverty, and everything else that’s of the devil once ruled us. But now, bless God, we rule them — for this is the Day of Dominion! (Kenneth Hagin, Rejoice! This Is the Day Which the Lord Hath Made! The Word of Faith, Sept. 1996 ) When the Sons of God are manifested. The saints will take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever… the Sons of Yahweh, one like the Son of man – not the lonely and blessed Yahshua of Nazareth alone, but the complete body of sons – Yahweh’s masterpiece of the ages, the body of Yahshua, the house not made with hands – My Father’s house of many mansions, each one whether individually or collectively ‘An habitation of Yahweh through the Spirit these sons of Yahweh are indeed the ‘One like the Son of man.’(NEW BEGINNINGS, George Hawtin )

Speaking on the feasts (Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles) typify the whole Church Age, beginning with the death of Jesus on the cross, and consummating in AAthe manifestation of the Sons of God@@-the AAovercomers who will become perfected and step into immortality in order to establish theKingdom ofGod on earth.(George Warnock, The Feast of Tabernacles, 1951, pp. 14-20) Quite a difference from the saints inheriting the kingdom when Christ comes and being servants (co-heirs) in it, adopted as sons (Rev.20:6). This is not a kingdom operated by humility but of power and force. This is why the take it by force teaching , and the pulling down of strongholds. Never mind that neither Jesus or an apostle never taught this to others, because this is what God is doing now. Its new, its fresh! The Central theme to Manifest Sons of God doctrine is the belief that sonship to God comes through higher revelation via apostles and prophets. The Christian life, has levels to go through, to reach maturity. The first level is that of servant of God, the next is that of friend of God, following this is to become a son of God and the realization of gods ourselves. much like the new age potential in man) The Scriptures teach that we are servants (Galatians 3:10), friends (John 15:14-15), and sons (I John 3:1). There is no Scriptural support that Paul who was the least of the apostles, or any other apostle ever went beyond servanthood attaining sonship. Many epistles begin with the salutation by an apostle as a servant of God. There is no teaching from Paul or any of the other apostles believed they would go beyond these levels to become gods themselves. This teaching today comes disguised in the word faith sector of the church where they teach we can speak things into existence just as God did ( Rom. 4:17) Christ comes into the Church before he comes for the Church.

Some believe that the second coming of Jesus is to be in the Church, before he comes for the Church. That the Church, his body will actually become Christ on earth, glorious and triumphant. They will go Conquer the land and then rule the nations with a rod of iron. Some believe that after the Church has taken dominion over the nations, she will hasten the day that will call Jesus back to earth and hand the nations over to Him. This is nothing new and Charles Taze Russell actually taught this over 100 years ago. If you don’t recognize his name he founded the Jehovah’s Witnesses cult. Our high calling is so great, so much above the comprehension of men, that they feel that we are guilty of blasphemy when we speak of being ‘new creatures’- not any longer human, but ‘partakers of the divine nature. It is claiming that we are divine beings- hence all such are Gods,. Thus we have a family of God …. Now we appear like men, and all die naturally like men, but in the resurrection we will rise in our true character as Gods … Then the whole family- head and body are addressed as one, as they will be under Christ, their head, saying: Arise 0 God, judge (rule, bless) the earth: for thou shaft inherit all nations. The Mighty God, and Everlasting Father of the nations is Christ whose members in particular we are. (Watchtower, 10 & 11/1881, p. 10, Reprints, p. 301)

Under him as our head constitute the whole body of Christ, the ‘Mighty God’ (El-powerful one) to rule and bless the nations- … and therefore be members of that company which as a whole will be the Everlasting Father to the restored race. (Watchtower, 10 & 11 / 1881, p. 10, Reprints P. 298) As we can see this is well over 100 years old from a group that is a cult now, just as they were then. While this teaching may have changed in terms it has remained consistent. The JW’s believe in an anointed 144,000 that the earthly class must relate to for receiving the benefits of the new covenant. Sound familiar? It should since this is exactly what is being taught by the apostle prophet movement. that we must come under their leadership and become an army to be victorious in the last days. This is just as cultic as the JW’s view. There are no Apostles today as there were when the Lord hand picked the 12 and others who were apostolic legates under them. The simple reason is that no one has seen the risen Lord to qualify. All the visions and dreams do not to qualify someone for apostleship (see Acts 1) But inside the Christian Church they taught no different. From Warnock’s manifesto Christ should visit the saints in the last great Feast, and minister His life ‘In secret ‘before He is openly manifested! Christians think it is a horrible thing that Christ’s second Coming should be spoken of in this manner. When a Christian comes to that place where he really appreciates and understands and enjoys Spiritual things, then he can truly rejoice in the fact that Christ is coming back again to be manifested within. (THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES, George Warnock, Bill Britton 1951, p. 108). When he speaks of Christ he is meaning Christ being the anointing, not the person of Jesus.

William Branham In them days it was God in a man, His Son, Jesus Christ. …It was God In Christ, God, in a man, the fullness of the Godhead bodily In a man. God, in a man; now, it’s God in men. See? The fullness of God in the Godhead bodily in His entire Church, manifesting Himself, fulfilling His Word. (THE MIGHTY GOD UNVEILED BEFORE US p.20) Here we have a the Manifest Sons of God teaching in embryo. Branham’s misunderstanding of how God was in Christ and he paralleled this to God in the Church. The reason for this is, that God has always had skin on Him. (ibid.21) Earl Paul has been saying for years AAWe are on earth as extensions of God to finish the work He began. We are the essence of God, His on-going incarnation in the world. (Earl Paulk, Held In The Heavens, 1985, p. 125). The Church is not God nor the fullness of God, this denies the uniqueness of Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son because it makes the Church on equality with him as many sons with the same nature. AAThe completion of the incarnation of God in the world must be in His church…Jesus Christ is the firstfruit, but without the ongoing harvest, the incarnation will never be complete. (Earl Paulk, The Wounded Body of Christ, p. 43). The living Word of God, Jesus Christ, was conceived in the womb of a virgin. The Word became flesh in the God-Man Jesus Christ (John 1:1). Likewise, the Word of God must be made flesh in the Church in order for us to bear witness to the Kingdom which God has called us to demonstrate. (Earl Paulk, Held In The Heavens, 1985, p.60) I would think it is apparent that there is a vast difference between the word made flesh by God incarnating in Jesus and becoming man and his residing in his people, the Church. (Earl Paulk, Held In The Heavens , 1985, p.60)

Frangipane agrees with Paulk as he says AAWhen the Spirit of Christ comes into the physical world, He must enter through a physical body… When Christ first entered our world as a child, it was Mary whom God chose to give Christ birth. Mary’s life symbolized the qualities the Church must possess to walk in the fullness of Christ … [God is preparing us as He did Mary to give birth to the ministry of His Son. Even now, in the spiritual womb of the virgin church, the holy purpose of Christ is growing, awaiting maturity; ready to be born in power in the timing of God ... the virgin Church is in labour and in pain to give birth (Rev 12:1-2) ... even now, he trembles and the heavens watch in awe, for I say to you, once again, the virgin is with child. Before Jesus Himself returns, the last virgin Church shall become pregnant with the promise of God. Out of her travail, the Body of Christ shall come forth, raised to the full statute of its Head, the Lord Jesus. Corporately manifested in holiness, power and love, the Bride of Christ shall arise.@@ (Francis Frangipane, 'In the Presence of God Now Wine Press, 1994.Chapter: AAThe Virgin Shall Be With Child) This is manifest Sons of God doctrine, it may not be called this by the speakers some may not even know of its roots but most to believe are well aware of its implications. Kenneth Hagin believes the same thing with only a slightly different angle We [the church] are Christ.(As Christ is — So are we, (Tape #44H06) Every man who has been born again is an incarnation and Christianity is a miracle. The believer is as much an incarnation as was Jesus of Nazareth. (Kenneth Hagin, The Incarnation, The Word of Faith, p.13, Dec. 1980). Kenneth Copeland agrees with his mentor, [Man] was created on terms of equality with God, and he could stand in God’s presence without any consciousness of inferiority…God made us as much like Himself as possible…He made us the same class of being that He is Himself…Man lived in the realm of God. He lived on terms equal with God…[The] believer is called Christ…That’s who we are; we’re Christ (Zoe: The God-Kind of Life, . pgs. 35-36, 41, 1989)

Copeland states Jesus is no longer the only begotten Son of God. (Now We Are In Christ Jesus, p.24,1980) This means Christ was the pattern son, not unique, but only the first of a kind of many, many more. Rod Parsley states, In the old covenant we did not have Jesus in the flesh. In the next covenant we had Jesus manifest in the flesh. In the next covenant we had Jesus manifest in the flesh in a person but of many in a different form.(Breakthrough 9/19/2000) Parsleys three covenants has the Church becoming what Jesus was exclusively. Yet he teaches now For in him dwelt the fulness of the Godhead bodily that’s what it said the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Now it didn’t say anywhere that you wouldn’t have the same thing. Didn’t say anywhere that you couldn’t obtain unto the same thing. In Acts the matter is you’re an heir a joint heir with Jesus Christ. Jesus said don’t look at what I’m doin, brother what your gonna do is greater than what I’m gonna do. (Ibid.) Morris Currello leading the unaware in a chant Who are you? Come on, who are you? Come on, say it: Sons of God! Come on, say it! And what does work inside us, brother, is that manifestation of the expression of all that God is and all that God has. And when we stand up here, brother, you’re not looking at Morris Cerullo; you’re looking at God. You’re looking at Jesus.(Morris Cerullo, The Endtime Manifestation of the Sons of God World Evangelism tape 1) Benny Hinn, When you say, ‘I am a Christian,’ you are saying, ‘I am mashiach,’ in the Hebrew. I am a little messiah walking on earth, in other words. That is a shocking revelation. May I say it like this? You are a little god on earth running around (Praise-a-Thon, TBN, November 6,1990) Are you ready for some real revelation knowledge….you are god (Benny Hinn, AAOur Position In Christ, tape AO31190-1) This certainly is a revelation, to God. Hagin, Copeland, Hinn and the much of the Word/Faith Movement all are saying basically the same thing. Why? Because they are coming from the same source, the Latter Rain teachings which are enjoying new growth unlike it ever did before. The new anointing that is being dispersed brings their followers to a AAnew knowledge of the Scriptures.

D.R. McConnell writes about the new revelation knowledge When these truths really gain the ascendancy in us, they will make us spiritual supermen, masters of demons and disease. It will be the end of weakness and failure. In the presence of these tremendous realities, we arise and take our place. We go out and live as supermen indwelt by God. (A Different Gospel, P. 21, D.R. McConnell, 1988.) Much of this has been birthed through the Vineyard Church via the signs and wonders movement, Bob Jones, the Church is in no condition for the Lord to come today … He’s going to come for a church that is mature in righteousness… progressively going in this righteousness until you take on THE VERY DIVINE NATURE OF CHRIST HIMSELF and you begin to see Christ in the Church. Christ won’t come for the church until you see Christ in the Church until the Church looks like Jesus. PAPA (God) planted Jesus, He sowed Him down here in this earth to have a whole nation of brothers and sisters that looked just like Jesus … His Son was a ALPHA SON, your children are the OMEGA sons and daughters. [Mike Bickle interjects here, Jesus was the beginning, but our children and us, we’re included in this … we’re the end of this thing.(quoted in Discernment newsletter) To put sinners saved by grace on an equality with Christ shows how deficient these so called anointed ones are in biblical understanding. Today this movement comes in many names, the current and most popular clichéé’ is the anointed, Christ, they say they are anointed Christ, exactly what Jesus warned about in Mt.24. That they can do exactly what he did, dispense the anointing and do miracles. Welcome to the Church of the 21st century. sources used: ·A Discernment Newsletter Jewel Van der Merwe ·A Vengeance is Ours, by Al Dager

In July of 1999, the Messianic Jewish Association of America [MJAA] sponsored the Messiah’99 conference in conjunction with the Young Messianic Jewish Alliance [YMJA] and the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues. The conference speakers included Rick Joyner of MorningStar Ministries, Stephen Strang, editor of Charisma Magazine and Stephen Katz, a recruiter for Jews for Jesus. Rick Joyner’s prophecy revealed the divine plan for a “Revolution in the Church” and the need for Messianic Jews to help reform the Church. Revolution is not a new subject for this modern prophet, but the venue of Joyner’s latest prophecy of a revolution in the Church is revealing. Compare: The Harvest [Dec. 1989]: “What is about to come upon the earth is not just a revival, or another awakening; it is a veritable revolution. The vision was given in order to begin to awaken those who are destined to radically change the course, and even the very definition of Christianity. The dismantling of organizations and disbanding of some works will be a positive and exhilarating experience for the Lord’s faithful servants. A great company of prophets, teachers, pastors and apostles will be raised up with the spirit of Phineas.”

[1] Messiah ‘99: I believe if you become like the Church something is lost. Listen, there’s a whole lot that the Church, believe me, I really believe there must be a revolution. I don’t believe the Church is anything close to what we’re called to be either. I’m speaking as a member of the Church. I believe I have the right to say that. There is a revolution going on in the Church too. Believe me something awesome is taking place. There are rumblings going on. I mean there’s one thing to have a revival and that’s wonderful. But we’re talking about a revolution. We’re talking about the Reformation isn’t over. The Reforming. I believe it’s just beginning in many ways. And you know what? We can look and say it took 500 years for the Reformation to do this much and that isn’t much.

[2]When Rick Joyner initially prophesied a Revolution in the Church, he spoke of dismantling present Church structures. However, [we assume] God had not yet revealed to him the nature of this revolution and the course it would take, or what the Church would become in the aftermath. Now, it has pleased God to make that direction clear to his prophet, Joyner, who has confided his vision of the New Church and how to get there to the assembly of Messianic Jews. Not privy to the heavenly revelations received by the anointed company of the modern prophets, the average Christian is left to speculate as to the nature of the New Church. However, there are important clues scattered along the path of the various movements afoot indicating what we may expect, as well as the drastic measures that will be taken to move the sheep out of their comfortable pasture onto an unfamiliar terrain. This series of reports will examine the seemingly varied and diverse heretical streams on the Christian landscape and locate the final point where, incredibly, all will converge in a religious system that represents the IDEAL of each one.

In “Paradigm Shifts for the 21st Century”, Jim Goll of Ministry to the Nations describes this convergence as The Great Revolution: “A convergence of the ages shall come upon us. The anointing of the Pentecostal Fire, the Healing and Deliverance Crusades, the Latter Rain Presence, the Evangelical Burden for the Lost, the Charismatic Giftings, the Third Wave Credibility, the Revelation of the Prophetic Movement and the relational networking of the Apostolic Reformation shall all merge together into a tidal wave that will eclipse the impact of reformation of 500 years ago and create what could be called The Great Revolution. “The Lord will give the church an opportunity to re-write her stained and spotted history. Radical deeds of identificational repentance, acts of mercy to the poor and the oppressed, presence and power encounters to the sick and the demonized, warrior praise and intercession arising over cities will mount as a Revolution comes upon the global body of Christ and creating a great societal awakening! If history books are written of the years that lie ahead, they might be termed The Days of His Glorious Presence.”The Great RevolutionIn “The Harvest,” Rick Joyner disclosed that in the forthcoming revolution an “army” will remove those — labeled stumbling blocks — who refuse the unity teachings of the modern prophets. According to Joyner, to remove the stumbling blocks, a great company of prophets, teachers, pastors and apostles will be raised up with the spirit of Phinehas. After this revolution in the Church, AAvery young Christians will be pastoring large bodies of believers: “Some pastors and leaders who continue to resist this tide of unity will be removed from their place. Some will become so hardened they will become opposers and resist God to the end. Most will be changed and will repent of their resistance.

There will be many ’stumbling blocks’ circulating in the Church that will cause confusion and some destruction from time to time. They will perceive themselves as prophets sent to judge and deliver. Those serving in leadership must trust their discernment and remove the stumbling blocks. “To be distinguished from the ’stumbling blocks,’ a great company of prophets, teachers, pastors and apostles will be raised up with the spirit of Phinehas. Just as the son of Eleazar could not tolerate iniquity in the camp of the Lord, this ‘ministry of Phinehas’ will save congregations, and at times even whole nations from the plagues that will be sweeping the earth. They will be moved by the jealousy of the Lord for the purity of His people. They will be sent to save and preserve the work of the Lord, not tear down, as the stumbling blocks do. Huge masses of people will be streaming to the Lord, the inflow so great in places that very young Christians will be pastoring large bodies of believers. Arenas and stadiums will overflow nightly as the believers come together to hear the apostles and teachers.”Extraordinary miracles will be common while those considered great today will be performed almost without notice by young believers. Angelic appearances will be common to the saints and a visible glory of the Lord will appear upon some for extended periods of time as power flows through them. Those in leadership will be the most humble of all. When anyone presumes leadership without calling, it will be apparent to all. “This harvest will be so great that no one will look back at the early Church as a standard; all will be saying that the Lord has certainly saved His best wine for last. The early Church was a first fruits offering; truly this will be a harvest! It was said of the Apostle Paul that he was turning the world upside down; it will be said of the apostles soon to be anointed that they have turned an upside down world right side up. Nations will tremble at the mention of their name.”

[3]Another modern prophet of Rick Joyner’s caliber is Bob Jones (not to be confused with Bob Jones III, president of Bob Jones University). Jones was one of the Kansas City Prophets before becoming involved in an indiscretion, after which John Wimber of the Vineyard Fellowship forgave Jones, allowed him to continue ministry and adopted the Kansas City Church into the Vineyard. Bob Jones taught that God was preparing a “special breed” comprised of young people up to the age of thirty. In his book, Blessing the Church?, Clifford Hill wrote of Jones confidence that this younger generation will take control of the world and present the kingdom to Christ on his return. “Jones believed that the generation of children born since 1973 would form the final generation of believers whom God was preparing as the Bride of Christ to take control of the world and present the kingdom to Christ on his return. He [Jones] continued, ‘I do believe what he’s beginning to do is a restoration of his very nature down here. Your children will come behind you and they’ll start on your level of righteousness and holiness and they’ll take off from there.’”

[4]Pioneer of the Latter Rain Revival, Paul Cain, described the supernatural powers that will distinguish the new breed, — a “dreadful, fearful army of champions. “God’s strange act is going to bring a new order of things and bring a new breed in and bring a transformation.” “Little children are going to lay their hands on the sick and heal multitudes . We are going to be just like the Lord. They’re going to say, ‘Here comes that dreadful, fearful army of champions. Here comes those with a word of knowledge, the word of wisdom, the working of miracles, with a healing ministry, with the power to heal the sick and raise the dead, with the power to know what’s going on behind the Iron Curtain.’ You’re really going to be a fearsome group before this thing’s all over.”

[5]John Wimber, founder of the Vineyard Movement, also launched the Signs and Wonders movement based on the concept that manifestations of supernatural power are necessary to authenticate the gospel. Wimber had a vision of an up and coming “army” of “dread champions” upon which would be unleashed a power of unprecedented magnitude. “God has given us a vision to see the body of Christ move from being an inactive audience to a Spirit-filled army . God is about to unloose a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit of an unprecedented magnitude .He is looking for individuals who will be ‘dread champions’ for his cause.”

[6]Restorationists, who maintain that the Church has been lost and must be restored, and Dominionists, who believe that the Church must reign on earth, teach that a great army of end-time saints is prophesied in Joel 2 and that AAJoel==s Army@@will be called upon by heads of state to “police” the nations with supernatural power. According to John Wimber and Paul Cain, before Christ returns, this company of mere youths will conquer the nations, having authority to dispense judgment on the ungodly and those who reject their leadership: “It is also interesting to see how Cain used prophecy to confirm the Latter Rain teaching that evangelization would result from the supernatural power which was going to be given to believers. This teaching was central to Wimber’s message. In the same speech Paul Cain prophesied that the new breed would possess power to overcome the enemies of the gospel and strike terror into them, ‘There’s going to be an awesome, reverential fear and respect for the church because the church is going to regain her power, lose her restrictions, lose her weakness you’re going to be called upon by presidents and kings of nations, heads of state. God is going to have his army and they are going to be a fearful bunch and they are going to go to every place on the face of the earth.”

[7]News Flash! The time frame for the ascendance of Joel’s Army to power has been given in a prophecy to Peter Wagner’s Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders: “The church will be in key transition period between 2000-2003. During this period the youth in particular will be transitioning into revival.”

[8]On this Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders is the co-founder of Generals of Intercession, Cindy Jacobs. On August 14, 2000, Jacobs issued A Prophetic Call to Revolution to Christian youth. This prophecy foretold that certain churches would become official command posts for revolution and that God now was calling radical revolutionaries to the church. For I would say to you, My children there is a page turning in the heavenlies, and at the top of this page I have one word, and it’s ‘revolution.’ And I am getting ready to write a new page of history among the believers of this nation. For there is a radical sound that I have issued – there is a sound that has come from heaven, and it even now has come to earth. And the Lord says, these are going to be days where I am going to trouble the enemy through you. These are going to be different days than you have ever known, and I am going to require sacrifice of you that you cannot imagine. I am going to require a sacrifice of your children, says the Lord. And the Lord says, I’m going to shake everything that can be shaken. For I would say to you, my children, you are going to come out of the wilderness. And I have found a Caleb generation, says the Lord, who say we are well able to take the mountain, we are well able to take those strongholds that have been built in the nearly 40 years in this nation, since prayer has been taken out of school. There are churches that will be command posts for revolution, and to these command posts I would say, I am going to bring a revolution. Look and see; I am calling radical revolutionaries to the church. There is a sound going forth from heaven, says the Lord. I am calling from the north and the south and the east and the west. They’re going to move, they’re going to change universities to come to these command posts. They’re going to change jobs. I’m going to bring the 18, 19, 20, 21 year olds, and they’re going to mentor the generation under them. And then the high schoolers are going to mentor the generations under them. And I would say, these youth are going to put the adults to shame. Because they’re going to be full of holy passion, a fiery passion for the Lord. So the Lord says, get ready for I have said many things over the church, and I have made many promises. With some of you, hope deferred has made the heart grow sick. But I have found the way for the church and for this youth, says the Lord. And the Lord says, there is going to be a day when there are as many youth as adults in these command post churches, for I am going to move-I would not pass you by. And the Lord says I’m going to put the gift of evangelism in the youth of these churches. I’m going to cause them to bring souls, and souls and souls. They’re going to invade the high school campuses. They’re going to invade the universities of their cities. And the Lord says, I am calling for an invasion from these churches, from my command posts. And the Lord says get ready, get ready, get ready, for it begins today.

[9] The Call, D.C.Three weeks after this prophecy, a massive youth gathering was held in Washington, D.C. On September 2, 2000, 75,000 to 100,000 teenagers and young adults assembled on the Washington Mall to AAstart a revolution. According to Intercessors for America, THE CALL, D.C. received favorable coverage in the Washington Post. PRAYERS ON THE MALL AND YOUNG CHRISTIANS LEAD CALL FOR SPIRITUAL REBIRTH HEADLINED THE CALL DC NEWS — The Sept.3 Washington Post headlines show that your prayers were definitely answered in a big way. Many reporters wrote in terms of tens of thousands of Christian youth gathering on the Mall last Saturday, and size estimates vary – from 75,000 to 100,000 or more. The Washington Post accounts noted that the rounds of repentance and concerted prayer called for reconciliation between children and parents, an end to abortion and sexual immorality, the return of prayer in schools, a call to fasting and loving evangelism, personal commitment to purity and radical Nazarite-type lifestyles, and the sparking of a “new spiritual revolution.” Most in attendance fasted for the entire day.

[10]The Call, D.C. was originally advertised as “a gathering of fasting youth [ages 14-24] to converge on the Washington Mall on September 2, 2000.” Later in the campaign, The Call, D.C. was billed as “a massive gathering of two generations who are desperate for revival. A historic gathering of children, youth and their parents.” Like the Promise Keepers, The Call, D.C. was a “solemn assembly”: THE CALL is a solemn assembly. The Call DC is a response to the urgent summons in Joel 2:15-18, given at a time of crisis. “Declare a holy fast Call a sacred assembly bring together the elders, gather the children.” The vision is to call a solemn assembly of Christian young people and their parents to fast and pray for repentance and revival in our nation. The program will also include speakers and worship, and will last from dawn until dusk (6:00 am to 6:00 pm). We expect youth, their youth leaders, parents and significant adults in their lives to attend. It is non-denominational. People of all races, ethnic groups and social backgrounds will attend. THE CALL is about reconciliation between generations – adults and children. America’s youth are facing their darkest hour. Beyond the Columbine massacre and the Wedgewood Baptist Church shootings, we are seeing a whole generation under satanic attack. Eighty-eight percent of America’s more than 30 million teenagers are unchurched. Of the 12 percent who do currently attend church, 80 percent will stop attending before they graduate from high school. Surveys show that 90 percent of people who give their lives to Christ do so before the age of 30. At every critical turning point in the Old Testament, we see a call to the nation of Israel for prayer and fasting. We believe that in order for America to experience revival, we must see the fulfillment of Malachi 4:6. One of The Call’s main purposes is to see God “turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and turn the hearts of the children to their fathers.” We are asking for the fathers’ blessing on the youth of America.

[11] Articles The Call DC “Yet the rumbles of revival can be heard, the distant sounds of a spiritual downpour that will bring a massive harvest. At a time when the voice of the church has been drowned out by the blare of talk shows and video games, the youth of this nation have been shaken to their core by the courage of young martyrs in places like Columbine and Wedgewood. There is a stirring in campuses and high schools. Young people are fasting, praying, evangelizing with a new passion. And now The Call has gone out – a summons to those who are desperate for revival and are willing to fast and pray to see God touch our nation. “The Call DC is a response to the summons in Joel 2:15-18, “Declare a holy fastYY Call a sacred assembly . . . bring together the elders, gather the children.” A historic gathering of children, youth and their parents will occur at the Washington, DC Capitol Mall, September 2, 2000. Here, in the same place, a million men gathered three years ago to renew covenant – with their families and with God. But every generation must renew the covenant for themselves and now is the time for the next generation to do so. Just as the godly fathers of America gathered, so too must their children. “The nation that has broken families and fatherless children is under a curse (Malachi 4:6). For revival to come, we need to see a profound reconciliation between parents and their children. One of The Call’s main purposes is to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers. “Revival has always been with the young. And it will be so again. Our campuses and schools have been the birthplaces of revival before — may it happen again! In this season of harvest, let us gather to commission our youth with a mandate for this millenium and commit ourselves to mentor and equip them. ”

[12]Revolution was the theme of The Call, D.C. To attract large numbers of teenagers to The Call, D.C., the original website was billed as “a repository for propaganda to support a national youth revolution against the status quo.” The Call, D.C. Home Page displayed the image of a shirtless male with attitude (reminiscent of Abercrombie & Fitch porno-types) and background graffiti. Church bulletin inserts were offered that displayed pictures of youths with writing on their foreheads. [See The Mark of the Beast and The Mark: Tattoos and Branding]
The origins of The Call, D.C. can be traced to the U.S. Center for World Missions [USCWM] BB an offshoot of Fuller Seminary and their Harvest Rock Church, whose pastor is Che Ahn, President of The Call, D.C. Lou Engle, a pastor at Che Ahn’s Harvest Rock Church is founder of The Call, D.C., Call, D.C. Executive Director for Mobilization of Youth and Vice President of Rock the Nations. Engle used the term Extreme Youth to describe the up and coming generation who were inspired – not by the Holy Spirit – but by video, audio, posters, etc. to “GO TO DC and start another Jesus Movement”. “Could another Jesus Movement happen today? God’s summons is out. Multitudes have heard The Call to assemble in Washington, DC to fast and pray. I’m taking back my land. Now that’s revolutionary. BOOKMARK THIS PAGE AND RETURN EVERY WEEK — This area of the web site will be a repository for propaganda to support a national youth revolution against the status quo. There will be testimonies, video, audio, posters, book and article reprints that will be an inspiration to GO TO DC and start another Jesus Movement. Throughout the scriptures, in times of great crisis, God called for huge gatherings of fasting, repentance and covenant renewal. We either believe it or we don’t. Joel’s trumpet is sounding THE CALL once more, “Declare a holy fast. CALL a sacred assembly. Bring together the elders. Gather the childrenYY and let them cry ’spare thy people oh God” YY And AFTERWARDS, I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh…and all who call on the Lord will be saved.” The universal fast precedes the universal outpouring! “God is summoning the holy youth of America to appear before Him. GO TO DC to fast, pray, reconcile and then be sent out to change the world through a massive youth revolution. “The Call DC is a massive gathering of Extreme Youth who are willing to fast and pray to create a violent spiritual shift in the destiny of America. Truly Revolutionary. [Revolution: when people make personal sacrifices for a cause -- everything else is just a campaign.]” “Will Work for Revolution” T-Shirts, can be purchased for $15 at TheCall DC booth on Independence Ave.”Underground Propaganda still provides “cool banners” and locker posters for advertising The Call, D.C. on websites. One animated banner displaying teens carrying a sign stating “WILL WORK FOR REVOLUTION!” metamorphoses to announce: “the jesus revolution continues. ” Another banner states “same movement cuter hair” — alternating pictures of long-haired hippie vs. updated punk style.

[13] Seeking parental guidance for attendance at The Call, DC was not encouraged; instead, young people were urged to persuade parents to permit them to attend an event which they might otherwise discern as unbiblical: Tell your parents, youth leader and Pastor. Having trouble convincing them? Send them cool pleamails (Coming soon)

[14]Having circumvented the Holy Spirit’s leading through parental discretion and guidance of their children, The Call, D.C. Executive Director, Lou Engle, had the audacity to state that this event — in conjunction with the Promise Keepers Sacred Assembly of October 4, 1997 — will be the fulfillment of Malachi 4:5-6. “According to Engle, the PromiseKeepers gathering represented the turning of the hearts of the fathers to the children. Now, three years later, The Call is set to represent before God’s throne the turning of the hearts of children to their fathers.” [Generals of Intercession News]“I believe that a massive spiritual earthquake occurred, at the Promise Keepers event in Washington D.C., as the fathers turned their hearts to the children, I believe, the curse began breaking over America. That event was a hinge upon which the doors of history opened.” “the Lord [is] now summoning [youth] to respond, to be the counterpart to the PK rally: a million young people on the D.C. Mall!. There would be the turning of the hearts of the children to the fathers. A national blessing or curse is decided by this change of heart or the lack of it. This is the Elijah Revolution!”

[15]Previously promoted as God’s chosen vessel for turning the hearts of the fathers to the children was the Promise Keepers’ Sacred Assembly. On October 4, 1997, 500,000 men assembled to worship before the Washington Monument, a Masonic obelisk. Like the 1997 PK Stand in the Gap Conference, The Call, D.C. opened the pagan worship of Native American tribes and the blowing of the shofar. Few of the youths attending this ceremony would realize that the AAcultural worship of Native Americans@@ was Sun worship. “As the sun came up and the day got underway, Native Dancers and a large team of 50-60 men and women, dressed in white outfits took the stage at the same time. The day was ushered in with the blowing of shofars and Native American Worshippers and Dancers in full First Nations regalia. It was the right way to initiate this CALL. What better way than to honor the cultural worship of Native Americans, the First people of this nation and the Jewish People God’s first CHOSEN NATION?”

[16]Radical Nazarites? The Call, D.C.was heralded as the commencement of The Elijah Revolution. A companion website titled The Elijah Revolution features Lou Engle’s Prayer CDs, Prayers for the Elijah Revolution, X-treme Disciples and Joann McFatter’s Temple Dance, all of which can be purchased at the Revolution Store. Another page recalls Hitler’s Youth Movement, another youth army of unhappy memory. Nazis or Nazarites? “A mighty youth army is gathering spontaneously, apparently out of nowhere. In the dark hours before the dawn, dew starts to collect on the ground that was dry the night before. It’s an enemy’s worst nightmare: to wake up and be suddenly surrounded by an army that appeared out of thin air! What had been an empty field the night before, is now filled with soldiers whose weapons and armor glint like dew in the sunrise. Overnight, an army of consecrated young people are going to emerge out of this present darkness. Though presently unseen, this vast youth army is already mobilizing. Invisible now, invincible later. This is an army like no other – ever. The millennium awaits them.”

[17]An excerpt from Michael Brown’s The Jesus Manifesto: A Call to Revolution on The Elijah Revolution website, explains the need for a revolution: What precedes revolutions is a growing awareness that things are not the way they ought to be.@@ To allay any fears or suspicions that this radical youth movement might get out of hand or be exploited to implement a fascist state, Brown adds a disclaimer. “This revolution will not be fought with earthly weapons of destruction BB not with guns and knives and bullets and bombs. It will not be fought with hatred, intimidation, or brute force. No. It will be fought with the message of the gospel, with the love of God, with the power of the Spirit, with radical holiness, with sacrifice, compassion, and courage. It will be a Jesus revolution, an intense clash between two spiritual kingdoms, a heavenly attack on the enemy’s strongholds, a no compromise stand for morality and truth. And it will impact society in a lasting way. It must!

[18]References to the adoption of “radical Nazarite-type lifestyles” require more elaboration than is offered by The Call, D.C. The President of The Call, D.C., Che Ahn was mentored by the very New Age Dick Iverson. Iverson also mentored Pastor Wendell Smith of the WA City Church which holds ‘Dragon Slayer’ New Generation youth seminars. Wendell Smith belongs to the Church of the Nazarene as does James Dobson and his wife, Shirley. In fact, Dr. Dobson is descended from three generations of Nazarene ministers. Merovingian literature, such as Bloodline of the Holy Grail, promotes the Nazarene tradition which is “another gospel” with “another Christ” — an initiate of the gnostic Essene Community of Qumran: “The scriptures also say that Jesus was a ‘ Nazarene’ — but this does not mean that he came from the town of Nazareth. Although Luke 2:39 implies that Joseph’s family came from Nazareth, the term Nazarene (or Nazarite) was strictly sectarian, and had nothing to do with the town. [Variants of the word Nazarene] ultimately derive from the Hebrew Nozrim, a plural noun stemming from the term Nazrie-ha-Brit ‘Keepers of the Covenant’, a designation of the Essene Community at Qumran on the Dead Sea every reference to ‘Nazareth’ in English translations of the Gospels must be regarded as incorrect — stemming from a misunderstanding of the word Nazarene. “John the Baptist and Jesus’ brother James were both Nazarites, but the sectarian term can be traced back to the Old Testament figures of Samson and Samuel. Nazarites were ascetic individuals bound by strict vows through predetermined periods. In the Gospel era, Nazarites were associated with the Essene Community of Qumran — the environment of Joseph and Mary.”

[19]The Old Testament proscription of Nazarites from wine and strong drink, shaving, and physical corruption is found in Numbers 6. Samson, of the Tribe of Dan and who judged Israel during the Philistine occupation, is regarded as the first Nazarite. Judges 13:4,5 describes the command of angel of the Lord to Samson’s mother: “For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come upon his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb.” The significance of John the Baptist as a Nazarene/Nazarite will come into view as this series progresses. The Cult of the Black Virgin, by Ean Begg, classifies John the Baptist as an Essene and mentions that the Nazarene tradition of long hair was continued by the Merovingians and the Knights Templar: “If, as seems likely, John was an Essene, influenced by the school of the Dead Sea Scrolls at Qumran, then he is part of a new mystical climate in Judaism, encompassing Philo’s Alexandrian Therapeuts, in which the Gospel of the Kingdom was to grow and thrive. The Gnostic tradition that he represents has proved the most durable of all and still survives in Mesopotamia among the Mandaeans, also known as Nasoraeans and Christians of St John. The Merovingians, like the Nasoraeans/Nazarenes of old, never cut their hair. The Templars, too, were sometimes considered to be Christians of St John.”

[20]Although the distinguishing characteristic of a Nazarite — a man set apart to God under the Old Covenant — was long hair, under the New Covenant “if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him”. [I Cor.11:14] It would appear that the direction of the present revolution is bringing Christians under the Old Covenant. However, this is not the case, despite the incessant framing of Gnostic concepts with Old Testament terminology. Rather, the leaders of this revolution are leading naive youth into the New Age of the Gnostic Essene cult which is emerging from its underground haunt soon to become “The Church of St. John in the Age of the Spirit”. A major emphasis of The Call, D.C. is fasting into which mode the youth are being moved from September 20-October 29. Young Christians beat their elders to the punch by taking the initiative and calling their generation to a 40-day pre-election prayer and fasting vigil September 20-October 29. Multitudes are fasting and praying over their school lunch hours with this focus: for historic revival in America; “holy revolution” in their schools; the 2000 general elections. (See www.livethecall.com or www.yifa.org)

[21]The call to AAradical Nazarite-type lifestyles@@ puts this 40-day fast in a different category than Biblical fasting. A radical Nazarite-type lifestyle is the salvation by works mentality found in monastic orders. The call of this youth movement is, in fact, a call to a life of asceticism – the practice of strict self-denial as a means of religious self discipline. The ritual fasting of the Nazarene Community of Essenes would have been akin to the asceticism of the Kabbalist who seeks union with God through such means. According to the Kabbalists, evil is essentially finite, as opposed to the divine good. Evil is an appearance not a substance, and a man’s sin consists of his separation from the Divine Being. By penitence and asceticism man can attain union with perfection.

[22]Recall that Laurence Gardner stated in Bloodline of the Holy Grail, “Nazarites were ascetic individuals bound by strict vows through predetermined periods. ” Louis Engle’s Live the Call homepage encourages young people to “make a vow,” in direct disobedience of Jesus’ command, “Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst make one hair white or black. But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.” [Matt. 5:37] Throughout the Christian Right is being purveyed the notion that if Christians will make heroic efforts of fasting and prayer, God will bless the nation’s elections with a Christian administration and Congress. The next item on the IFA newsletter is Charisma Magazine’s interview of Gov. George Bush on the subject of his faith. Bush gives his politically correct testimony which is profoundly lacking the genuineness of true Biblical conversion. Charisma and Bush fail to distinguish between a person of faith and a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no mention of Jesus whatsoever, only Christ. Sadly, the Moral Majority will justify its collective vote for a third generation member of the Order of Skull and Bones on the basis of a bogus testimony and delusions of a Christian government. The CIA controllers of Christian Right, using highly developed mind control techniques, seem to have permanently disabled the critical faculties of Christians and reprogrammed them like members of a large cult. The fascinating History of the Order of Skull and Bones chronicles the development of Yale University as the fountainhead of American espionage, drug smuggling and secret societies. Yale has influenced the Central Intelligence Agency more than any other university, giving the CIA the atmosphere of a class reunion. And Bonesmen have been foremost among the spooks building the CIA’s haunted house.

[23] Skull & Bones New Jerusalem, Lou Engle’s inspiration for The Call, D.C. came from a prophetic dream which is described on the Generals of Intercession website. In 1996, God gave Engle a prophetic dream that spawned the movement now referred to as The Call. In the dream, Engle was to pass on a letter to a young boy named Joel. Engle awakened with the thought that he had lost the letter that Joel was supposed to receive. At that point, the Holy Spirit spoke to me, Don’t drop Joel’s letter recalls Lou. I interpreted this to mean we shouldn’t drop God’s call, articulated in the second chapter of Joel, to pray and fast.

[24]Engle must support this fantastical pretext for starting a youth revolution with something more substantial. A reference to Jonathan Edwards will add credibility to his prophetic dream: “Two years ago, in Lake Isabela, CA, the Lord showed Engle that the coming youth revival was a fulfillment of a promise He had made to pioneer revivalist Jonathan Edwards. I was preparing to preach on this subject for the very first time, recalls Engle, when a kid came up to me and shared that he had just found out he was the great-great-great-great grandchild of Edwards. God is going to visit the youth of this nation because of his covenant with Edwards! “Interestingly, scholars have reported that Jonathan Edwards prophesied that a third great awakening would commence before the end of the year 2000.”

[25]Few Christians who hear this story will realize that the “great-great-great-great grandchild of Edwards” would also be a descendant of Timothy Dwight, who was inducted into the Order of Skull & Bones in 1849, became president of Yale University in 1886 and served on the committee for the 1901 American Standard Revision (ASV). According to Antony Sutton, author of America’s Secret Establishment: Introduction to the Order of Skull and Bones: “In 1886 Timothy Dwight (The Order) had taken over from the last of Yales’ clerical Presidents, Noah Porter. Never again was Yale to get too far from The Order.”

[26]Rev. Pres Timothy Dwight was the grandson of Rev. Timothy Dwight (1752-1817) who was the grandson of the famous Rev. Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758), president of Union College. Both Timothy Dwights were presidents of Yale. The elder Timothy Dwight, who was born on May 14, 1752 in Northampton, Massachusetts, was a also personal friend of President George Washington, a high-level Freemason. “Timothy Dwight was a man for all seasons: an ordained Congregational minister, grandson of Jonathan Edwards, personal friend of George Washington, and Army chaplain.”

[27]It is true that Jonathan Edwards prophesied a great revival at the onset of the millennium. According to Paul Boyer, When Time Shall Be No More: Prophecy Belief in Modern American Culture, Jonathan Edwards and his grandson, Timothy Dwight, believed that America would be the seat of Christ’s Millennial Kingdom and that this transition would occur in 2000 A.D. This vision corresponds to the Plan of British Freemasonry for the United States. Christians, note well the Masonic exploitation of the religious masses through patriot prophecy writers who led them to believe they would fulfill prophecy by supporting The Revolution. It is an historical phenomenon that revolutionaries with secular agendas have, through psychological manipulation, succeeded in transforming the Church into an instrument of revolution. “With the struggle for independence, patriot prophecy writers reenacted the familiar process of adapting their end-time scenarios to current events, and vied in identifying contemporary British leaders as Antichrist. By 1773 King George himself, like Charles I 150 years earlier was being portrayed as Antichrist. “The independence movement also revived the belief of the Mathers and of Jonathan Edwards that America might be the seat of Christ’s millennial kingdom. But what had been formulated in religious terms now took on a secular cast, as prophecy speculation — already politicized during the French and Indian War — oriented itself around the Revolutionary cause, laying the groundwork for. ‘civil millennialism.’ In ‘A Poem on the Rising Glory of America,’ delivered to their Princeton graduating class in 1771, Philip Freneau and Hugh Henry Brackenridge looked to the day when the New Jerusalem would ‘grace our happy earth, perhaps this land.’ An independent American nation, declared Ebenezer Baldwin 1776, would be ‘the principle seat of that glorious kingdom’, which Christ shall erect upon the earth in the latter Days. Revolution and liberty, rather than revival, now became the high road to the blessed future foreseen by the biblical apocalypticus. “With symbolic appropriateness, Jonathan Edwards’ grandson, Timothy Dwight, most fully elaborated this secular vision of the Revolution’s prophetic significance. Dwight’s 1771 poem ‘America’ written when he was a nineteen-year-old Yale student contains the kernel of is civil millennialism. Five years later, speaking at Yale three weeks after the Declaration of Independence, the now twenty-four-year-old Dwight fully eschatologized the stirring events of the day. In America, history would reach its climax in the fulfillment of ‘that remarkable Jewish tradition’ of a thousand years of ‘peace, purity and felicity.’ Ushered in by Yale-trained lawyers, physicians and other professionals, The Star Spangled Millennium, he speculated (echoing Samuel Sewall whose ideas had intrigued his grandfather), would probably begin about the year 2000. In the soaring apocalyptic language of the prophet Isaiah, Dwight hailed the emerging nations: ‘Arise, shine, for thy light has come.’”
Key Charismatics, such as Rick Joyner, Paul Cain, and others are helping to prepare for the New World Order. In this article you will hear about: Rick Joyner and others visiting the archives of Adolf Hitler, who was supported and defended by the Catholic church.Rick Joyner, Mahesh Chavada, Ricky Skaggs, etc. being knighted by the Knights of Malta, an ancient Catholic order. A representative of Knights of Malta arranging a meeting for Paul Cain with Saddam Hussein inside Iraq.Details of the meeting between Saddam and Cain. Details manifesting that the Catholic church organizations are working close with Saddam Hussein in its drive for this One World Order. A One World Religion, led by the Pope, being one of the greatest forces in the final inauguration of this sinister One World Government. Apparitions of Mary and apparitions of New Wave Charismatics as the driving forces preparing peoples’ minds for this final stage of prophetic fulfillment. It’s breathtaking to watch the Holy Scripture being perfectly fulfilled. Most Bible students have read about a coming One World Order that would be ruled over by an Antichrist figure disguised as Jesus Christ Himself. All of us must admit that reading and hearing about this is totally different than watching it begin to happen. In fact, there are a multitude of people that have heard all of this for years, but have no discernment that it is actually transpiring right under their noses. Many are even participating in its development unknown to themselves. It’s the kind of deception that Jesus and Bible writers predicted would occur.

Daniel warned of the very day when this One World Order scenario would begin to develop. He said, “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (Daniel 11:32). The word flatteries, as used by Daniel, is a feminine form of deception. It suggests the use of flattery by silly, giddy persons who act in a religious spirit. If you will watch one or two episodes of Trinity Broadcast Network’s “Praise The Lord” television show or listen to the endless proclamations of Paul Cain and Rick Joyner, plus many others in this religious New Wave camp, you will have the perfect preparation to get the masses ready. Ministers by the thousands are being swept into this camp from varied backgrounds. The basic theological positions on end time doctrines that govern this movement is either Post-Millennialism, which states that Jesus will return after one thousand years of religious peace; Dominion Theology, which states that the church is to establish the Kingdom of God on earth; or some abbreviated form of these two. These two doctrines are represented by the Catholic church and other religious groups (Post-Millennialism) and the Charismatic New Wave churches, plus the reconstructionist groups (Dominion Theology). The belief of Catholics and Charismatics in this kind of stewed interpretation has certainly laid the foundation for them to be totally deceived. Both of these doctrinal ideas despise any teaching of a pre-Tribulation Rapture or of the seven years of tribulation to follow the rapture. The great cry of worldwide revival is intimately tied to this false concept of a New World Order.

There is not a true Biblical Christian on this earth that does not want revival, but when revival is connected to Post-Millennialism or Dominion Theology, the entire idea becomes everything but truth. While every one of us are fasting and praying for revival, it must be revival tied to our hope and expectancy of the glorious Rapture of the Bride of Christ and not revival based on compromise, one world religions, or a political place in the current power struggle. It will be the uncompromising remnant that meets the King in the air. These men that we are reporting the things documented in this article about are extremely sincere. When you see key Charismatic leaders knighted by one of the strongest of all Catholic organizations, there has to be something incredible occurring. For this to happen, connected to a visit to the archives of historic Nazism, makes the entire scenario sinister. Add to that a man that has just returned from a visit to Austria and a personal time in the presence of Kurt Waldheim, a former Nazi leader. Then add that same man arranging for a personal visit by Paul Cain to Saddam Hussein, and you are hearing earth-shaking matters. Of all the ideas, research, or documentation that I have ever shared, nothing is more breathtaking than this information. Let’s go as deep as possible into the reports of these men.

Rick Joyner Visits The Archives Of Adolf Hitler In the tapes which I am quoting, Mr. Joyner did not share the reasons for his visit to Germany and the archives of Nazism. A book, written by Dave Hunt, entitled A Woman Rides The Beast, may help you understand the connections. Adolf Hitler was clearly supported and protected by the Catholic church. The Knights of Malta were closely connected to Hitler by virtue of the Catholic connection. Here is a bit of documentation to confirm this fact.”The Catholic Right and the Knights of Malta, in particular Baron Franz Von Papen, played a critical role in Hitler’s assumption of power and the launching of the Third Reich’s Twentieth Century Crusade. Sovereign Military Order of Malta’s influence in Germany survived World War II intact. On November 17, 1948 the Sovereign Military Order of Malta awarded one of its highest honors, the Grand Cross of Merit, to Reinhard Gehlen, the Nazi chief of intelligence on the Soviet front. He was subsequently installed by the Americans as the first chief of West Germany’s equivalent of the CIA, the Bundesnachtrichdienst (BND: federal secret service), under West German Chancellor Adenauer, a devout Catholic who had received the Magistral Grand Cross personally from the Sovereign Military Order of Malta Grand Master Prince Chigi.” (Nazis, The Vatican, And CIA, Winter 1986, Number 25, pp. 27-29.) The Roman Catholic church as an entity has a proven record of anti-Semitism. We must not forget that there are thousands of Catholic people misled in their doctrines, but not of the nature to do the dark things against the Jews that the political organization of the Catholic church has done. Why would Rick Joyner find such pleasure in visiting the historic sites of the Nazi Regime?

First, let’s read his account of that visit and about him meeting a Knight of Malta and hearing of their interest to knight him. “I was in Berlin with a man who is considered one of the foremost authorities on Nazi Germany, Colonel Eugene Byrd, who was the commandant of the Spandau prison, which housed all the war criminals after the war. And he’s the one who wrote the book, The Loneliest Man In The World, which was the memoirs of Rudolf Hess, who was Hitler’s number two man. And, Colonel Byrd had just taken myself and Paul Cain and a friend of ours on the most incredible tour of Berlin that day. And he had the greatest, I think, still has the greatest insight into what happened spiritually there. And, you know we went to Hitler’s bunker and we went all over the place and he just gave us a personal tour. (Joyner tells about Colonel Byrd being on Sixty Minutes.) And he gave Paul and I the same tour . . . It was one of the most fascinating days I have ever had in my life. And, uh, we were eating dinner (with Colonel Byrd), and I was saying and we’re talking all this stuff, and I said, ‘You ever heard of these Knights of Malta?’ And he said, ‘Well, I am one.’ And he pulls out his credentials. And he said, ‘You know, they still exist,’ and I knew they still existed ‘cause I had met a few around, but they are hardly known here, but they are known in Europe. And he said, ‘As matter of fact, this one knight, who is called a Knight Commander, has recommended you to be knighted and he’s looking for you now.’ I talked to him. They had been reading our journals and stuff like that and head of the order had been baptized in the Holy Spirit and wanted to see them become a spiritual force just like they had been a natural force. Colonel Byrd tells me this one guy, he was an Austrian Baron. He said, ‘He is looking for you. He’s already recommended you to be knighted.’” (Audio by Rick Joyner Ministries, no date on tape.)

This strange connection between the archives of Hitler and Nazism and the Knights of Malta, as well as the Catholic church, cannot be considered accidental. Also, the fact that Rick Joyner and Paul Cain are interested in these connection have far reaching meanings. Please note that Rick Joyner said of Colonel Eugene Byrd, a Knights of Malta member, “that he had the greatest insight into what happened spiritually there.” What could he have meant by such a remark. The statement appears to have been spoken in the positive and suggests that both Joyner and Byrd saw Nazism in a spiritual light. It’s important to inject one of the primary teachings of Paul Cain and the New Wave Charismatics. They claim to be developing and training Joel’s Army to police the unruly world in the coming Kingdom of God on earth. Joel’s Army has been described as a kind of Nazi organization that will force obedience to the worldwide religion unity soon to envelope the earth. Their doctrine of Dominion Theology clearly projects a One World Government with a One World Religion. Joel’s Army will be similar to the Crusaders who fought and conquered their way to the city of Jerusalem in the eleventh century. The time of the Crusaders was the actual time of history when the Knights of Malta was founded. The historic and futurist connection of all of this is breathtaking.

Following is an explanation of why the Knights of Malta is knighting non-Catholics and persons outside the nobility ranks of Europe.”The Sovereign Military and Hospitaler Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta, known also as the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, or SMOM, is juridically, politically, and historically unique in the world today. “Representing initially the most powerful and reactionary segments of the European aristocracy, for nearly a thousand years beginning with the early crusades of the Twelfth Century, it has organized, funded, and led military operations against states and ideas deemed threatening to its power. It is probably safe to say that the several thousand Knights of the Sovereign Military of Malta, principally in Europe, North Central, and South America, comprise the largest most consistently powerful and reactionary membership of any organization in the world today. “Although an exclusively [Roman] Catholic organization, in this century it has collaborated with, and given high awards to non-Catholic extremists in its current crusade against progressive forces in the West, the national liberation movements, and the socialist countries. “To be a Knight, one must not only be from wealthy, aristocratic lineage, one must also have a psychological worldview which is attracted to the ‘crusader mentality’ of these ‘warrior monks.’ Participating in the the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, including its initiation ceremonies and feudal ritual dress, members embrace a certain caste/class mentality; they are sociologically and psychologically predisposed to function as the ‘shock troops’ of Catholic reaction. And this is precisely the historical role the Knights have played in the wars against Islam, against the Protestant ‘heresy,’ and against the Soviet ‘Evil Empire.’” (Nazis, The Vatican, And CIA, Winter 1986, Number 25, pp. 27-29.)

Rick Joyner, Knighted By The Knights Of Malta Research into the Knights of Malta is quite an experience. Both the Catholic church and Masonic Order have an organization called by this name. The Sovereign Military Order of Malta (Federal Association, USA) says in an internet communication, “There are dozens of organizations which use the name, symbols, and traditions of the Order of Malta in an unauthorized fashion.” They list a group of thirteen such organizations but state clearly, “The organizations listed below have no affiliation with the Order of Malta and are not recognized by the Vatican.”The primary organization, called the Knights of Malta, has its headquarters in the Vatican of Rome and is clearly controlled and operated by the Catholic church. Their official website gives their name as the “Sovereign Military Order Of Malta.” They state of themselves that this “is a lay religious order of the Catholic church.” It was founded in Jerusalem in 1099 and it was approved formally as an order by the Pope in 1113. They also say of themselves, “The Order of Malta was admitted to the United Nations as a permanent observer on August 24, 1994.” They also claim “official diplomatic relations with over eighty states and international organizations.” The Order of Malta is clearly a Catholic order, controlled by the Pope and totally committed to the Pope, the Virgin Mary, and service to Roman Catholic ideas and causes. It is a powerful and massive organization. With this background, why would Charismatic leaders have an interest in being an intimate part, being knighted, and accepting responsibility to serve the Roman church? The answer is simply that a large body of Charismatic leaders have adopted the same ultimate goals of a One World Government, a One World Religion, and the necessity of forcing this idea upon the entire world. The present Pope has met with almost every religious organization of the World and is inviting everyone to the same religious table.

A One World Religion is ready to be established as soon as the “Holy” Bride of Jesus Christ has been removed out of their way. Bible-believing Christians are a thorn in their flesh, but our Bridegroom will remove that thorn at the proper moment. In the meantime, Rick Joyner and others are excited to become a part of the harlot of Rome. It’s overwhelming to listen as Rick Joyner tells the story of how he met the Austrian Baron that had just come from Kurt Waldheim’s office to seek him out and conduct the knighting ceremony. Let’s read some detail of that. Please note the name and things I have underlined because I want to speak of them.”I’m sitting in the lobby (Nuremberg, Germany) with Bobby Conner and a few other people there and this guy comes walking in the lobby of the hotel who was an interesting looking guy. And Reed, who was Paul Cain’s assistant, was standing behind me. And he said, ‘Hey, there’s Newman Peyton.’ And this guy was Baron Newman Peyton, who Colonel Byrd had told me was looking for me. I said, ‘Reed, do you know that man.’ He said, ‘Oh, yeah, we met him years ago.’ And he came over, walked over to me, and said he had been looking to meet with me. And I stopped him right away. I said, ‘Bobby, give me a readout on this guy.’ And this guy’s going, ‘What’s a readout?’ (Laughter.) And Bobby goes, ‘Sir, when you came in I just saw something, I saw that you had just come from the office of a man named Kurt Waldheim .’ And his eyes got real big ’cause he had just come from his (Kurt Waldheim) office. And then he (Bobby Conner) said, ‘I saw you or I saw him opening this briefcase and giving you something out of it.’ And Bobby described the briefcase. And his eyes got real big then. He said, ‘This is incredible!’ He (Baron Peyton) said, ‘That is the only briefcase like that in the world. I had it custom made for Kurt Waldheim.’ And it was a weird thing Bobby had described.” (Morning Star Ministries, Rick Joyner audio, no date given.) It’s extremely important to notice two things in this description by Rick Joyner. Upon this man Baron Newman Peyton entering the hotel lobby, Rick Joyner asked one of his companions to give him a “readout” on this man. A “readout” is another term for what they call a prophecy or better described as “fortune telling.” These men are deep into sorcery as becomes clear in hearing this entire tape. Also, the man that Baron Newman Peyton had just visited and apparently represented in his approach to Rick Joyner is a notorious individual. Kurt Waldheim is the recently retired President of Austria. He was also an officer in the Nazi army and “has been barred from entering the United States since 1987 as a suspected war criminal.” (The Anti-Defamation League, 1999, A.T.L.) Kurt Waldheim was also recently knighted by the Pope, sparking the protest of many Jewish groups. Many believe he is guilty of atrocities against the Jewish people as well as British prisoners of war. The New Republic magazine stated that “the knighting (of Kurt Waldheim) also shows that the hatred of Jews is still no impediment to the esteem of the church (Catholic). Some say it was Waldheim’s only qualification.” (The New Republic, September 5, 1994, V211N10, p. 50.).Connecting this visit to the archives of Nazism and the Knights of Malta and now to a Nazi war criminal that has recently been knighted by the Catholic church shows an emerging picture of anti-Semitism. But, it does not end here.

A Meeting Emerged Between Paul Cain And Saddam Hussein If what has already been established is not enough, certainly all we need to add is the entrance of Saddam Hussein into the picture. Saddam Hussein identifies himself as the modern equivalent of Nebuchadnezzar. He is rebuilding the ancient city of Babylon where the Jews spent seventy years of exile. Also, this city is the center of Revelation chapter eighteen (18) and will be the capitol of the Antichrist during the Tribulation period. The Antichrist is called an “Assyrian” placing his origination from the general location of the country of Iraq. The ancient Assyrian nation geographically spread from Northern Iran to Lebanon, but the capitol was in Northern Iraq at Nineveh (modern Monsur). I have personally visited this ancient city.Let’s listen as Rick Joyner tells about the arrangement of this meeting. He starts at the point where we just ended in telling of the Baron from Austria being overwhelmed by the “fortune telling” expertise of a man with Rick Joyner, named Bobby Connor. Please read carefully.”Bobby told him a little bit more about the papers and everything and it really got his attention. He was captured from then on . . . And he was a prophetic man. He was the one who prophesied to Indira Gandhi that if she did not give her heart to the Lord, she would be dead in one week . . . Five days later she was assassinated. And he is a friend with head of number of the Moslem nations, as well as other countries, and he’s been a prophetic voice to them, but he had never seen the gift operate like this in such a specific way about details like that, so he was just captured. This worked out strategically in a way you wouldn’t believe. It was important, but this was the guy who was key to getting Paul Cain an audience with Saddam Hussein. You may have heard us talk about that. And Paul went. Saddam Hussein, some of his guys had been in a meeting, had seen the prophetic gift operate and they were utterly convinced that Paul is a true prophet. Saddam became convinced and he wanted to meet with Paul. Okay! It all worked out. Well, Newman was the guy who worked this out. And right after he sent the fax to start this process all this fear came on him, ‘What have I done . . . this could really mess up world events and things like that.’ He didn’t know Paul Cain that well . . . And right after that the Lord had told Bobby Conner to fax Newman Peyton and just write this that Paul Cain is my man, he’s okay, don’t worry about it or something like that. So, Newman sends this fax to make this connection between Paul and Saddam, to work out this thing. And he’s sitting there going, ‘Oh, no, what have I done?’ Can’t get the fax back. Another fax comes in, ‘Don’t worry, Paul Cain’s okay.’ You know, I mean, it’s exactly on time. They still have the little strips of paper. He sent one out. One minute later, one comes in, this is it. So, these things happen strategically. Anyway, we went on and a bunch of us got knighted by these Knights of Malta. Okay, I did first. And I wasn’t even going to do it. I thought it was a great honor and all. But, I just don’t join things like that . . . Anyway, Paul Cain called me from Austria. And said, you know, ‘Just tuned in on it.’ And said, ‘The Lord is going to give you some credentials like Paul’s credentials where his Roman citizenship really was used at times . . .’ And he said, ‘You’re really supposed to do this thing.’ So, I did and then later some of the other guys, we even got Bobby Connor knighted and Steve and Leonard. Anyway, we had a big time. Bobby, we dubbed Sir Bubba and Mahesh (Chavada) became Sir Loin. We seriously polluted the Blue Blood of Europe. I mean it was bad. Ricky Skaggs, you know, country (singer). Aw man, it was a blast. We had a great time though. Anyway, we got knighted by this thing. It’s a real, this somehow is real important to the Lord. He’s kept this order in existence, I think, like He has Israel. It has an end times purpose and destiny . . . They went on, made me a knight commander which gave me authority to knight others and then they made me something else, where I have authority over all the knights supposedly in the U.S. . . .” (Audio by Rick Joyner Ministries, no date on tape.)

This is incredible documentation of what certain personalities in the Charismatic New Wave are willing to do to affect and prepare for the New World Order. To imagine Saddam Hussein calling a Charismatic prophet for this prophetic insight is a drawback to ancient rulers and their love for their sorcerers and fortune tellers. It also shows the affinity between Dominion Theology and the dreams of Saddam Hussein to be a world dictator. Dominion Theology, by its very design, has eliminated the prophetic future of Israel as a nation and the Jews’ claim to the promises given to Abraham. The New Wave Charismatics are absolutely in the forefront with Pope John Paul in helping prepare the stage for the false christ. It would be impossible to inaugurate a One World Order without the religious component. The political voices from the United Nations, Council of Foreign Relations Committee, varying political individuals all the way to Saddam Hussein are nurturing the religious contacts and courting every conceivable entity as they jockey for power. When the right man, ordained for the hour appears and God the Father withdraws His hand of restraint, it will all happen with cosmic speed. The players in this article are probably insignificant, but the picture is certainly prophetic.

Part 2

The new vigilantes that will enforce the New World Order will be Joel’s Army and the radical Charismatics already preparing for war.In the first part of this article, we saw Rick Joyner, Mahesh Chavada, Ricky Skaggs, and, apparently Paul Cain, being knighted by a Catholic Church organization. In this article we will learn why this knighting is taking place and about their connection to Saddam Hussein in ancient Assyria (Iraq), the man preparing for the New World Order capitol. You will read the words of Paul Cain, world-renowned prophet for the Charismatic leaders, as he defends Saddam Hussein as a great “wise man” and a great leader of his people. It will be clear that America’s leadership of the present world order is temporary and soon to diminish. Bill Clinton is a flash in the pan and he will soon be discarded altogether. The Catholic Church and the New Wave Charismatics will be the key leaders of the One World Religion. The numerous paranormal miracles they are already claiming will grow beyond description and will deceive the multitudes.Bible-believing Christians will be hated by the Catholics, the Charismatics, the Muslims, and every expression of the One World Order. We are the thorns in their side that they can do nothing about until the King comes in the midair and receives us to Himself. After the Rapture, the New World Order will receive their leader, the Antichrist. Any effort to identify him before the Rapture is pure speculation and will be proven wrong every time.Hope Is In The AirIt is absolutely breathtaking to see how close we are to the Antichrist kingdom. It would be scary beyond survival if we did not have the promise of the Lord that this spirit of the ultimate lie cannot stop the true saints of God.

The Rapture-ready church in Revelation is the Philadelphian church and the Lord promised that church two things:ONE: They will have an open door to preach the Gospel and obey His will and will even be repented to by the false One World Religion. Here are the words of Jesus Christ Himself as given to Apostle John, “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.” (Revelation 3:8-9). My friends, that is set in the eternal sovereignty of our Headship and Lord. Quit being afraid of what lies ahead. Be totally faithful to the Word of God and the Lord Jesus Christ and live a completely surrendered life. The rest is in His hands.TWO: The Bride of Christ, the blood-washed overcomers, will be removed before He opens the seven-sealed book of Revelation, chapters five and six. This seven-sealed book is a complete document that cannot be subdivided. In chapter six, we hear the crowd saying, “… Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Revelation 6:16-17). All seven years are years of His wrath. He opens every seal of the seven seals and He has promised the Philadelphian church, “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” (Revelation 3:10).Do not let anyone destroy your expectation of the Rapture before the seven years of His wrath breaks upon this earth. That is a present major effort of the devil. You cannot look for the Antichrist and Jesus Christ at the same time. The Antichrist will be revealed after the Restrainer is gone. The Restrainer, the Holy Ghost, cannot leave without the church, because the Lord promised that He would never leave the church. “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.” (John 14:16). Where the Holy Ghost goes, the indwelt believer cannot be separated.

Now, let’s look at the dark things without forgetting our undying hope. The New VigilantesEvery generation has had their shock troopers. In our lifetime, we have known the terror of the Communist KGB’s and the Nazi SS troops. The Shiites of Islam have slaughtered thousands of Bible-believing Christians. Many of us have read about the Catholic Knights of Malta and Jesuit priests representing the dark history of this pagan/Christian religion. The New World Religion is going to have their vigilantes and they will be the most dreadful shock troopers of human history. If you will read Foxe’s Book Of Martyrs, it will show you that no group of humans can be more cruel than those with a twisted “Christian” passion.Listen to what is already being voiced. A book written by Richard Kelly Hoskins entitled, Vigilantes Of Christendom, describes these warriors. He says of them, “As the Kamikaze is to the Japanese, As the Shiite is to Islam, As the Zionist is to the Jew, So the Phineas priest is to Christendom.” Rick Joyner, a primary subject of this article stated, “The dismantling of organizations and disbanding of some works will be a positive and exhilarating experience for the Lord’s faithful servants . . . a great company of prophets, teachers, pastors, and apostles will be raised up with the spirit of Phineas . . .” (The Harvest, Rick Joyner). One of the favorite subjects of the new Charismatics is “Prepare For War.” On our video, “Beatles’ Music In The Church,” we have the singers at Mahesh Chavada’s church, which is located here in our city of Charlotte, singing to the beat of pagan music, “Prepare For War.”In a publication recently brought to my attention entitled, “Prepare For War,” the real colors of this crowd are manifest. They despise teaching of the Rapture and embrace the Catholic Eucharist, the manifest sons of God, and other Joel’s Army theology. Look at the following quote carefully. Please notice their obvious hatred for the truth of the Rapture.”The FAMC Apostolic team dispelled false theories about the anti-Christ boogie man and his Babylonian girlfriend. The FAMC team reminded New York believers that all our enemies are under Christ’s feet. Declaring there will be no escape theology for the church in New York or any place else.

The true church had no desire to fly away or hide away eating dried up rations of paranoid revelations salted with MSG and self-preservation.” (December 5, 1998. FAMC, Direction in Age of Confusion, New York.)”Testimonies are pouring in from across the nations. Bottles of oil are being replenished. One caller poured the oil over her neck injury, only to find the Holy Ghost refilling it after every use.” (January 6, 1999. Denver, Prepare For War Radio. Flash Bulletin!)Paul Cain, whom we will quote as he talks glowingly about Saddam Hussein of Iraq, is one of the main voices speaking about Joel’s Army. Those close to him have helped voice the terror of this crowd of vigilantes. The late John Wimber stated, “This army will inspire fear and terror in the hearts of its adversaries. In Joel 2:4-6 it says this: ‘They have the appearance of horses, they gallop along like a flame of fire (???) with a noise like the chariots they leap over the mountain tops like a crackling fire consuming stubble, like a mighty army drawn up for battle. At the sight of them nations in anguish, every face turns pale.’” (John Wimber, Not Dated.) Another man, Bob Jones, who is close to Paul Cain and Rick Joyner, called them “The Dread Champions.”Now, you can understand why Rick Joyner considered it delightful to visit the history archives of Nazism in Germany. Remember, in Part One of this article they talked about the spiritual things that happened in the geographical location of Hitler’s regime. I believe the members of Joel’s Army are the new vigilantes for the New World Order and they are in training right now. On the Trinity Broadcast Network, Kim Clementia repeats ideas like, “We are going to kick some b—- in the new millennium.” And at least once, he said, “We are going to stick spears up the b—- of the Philistines.” Supposedly, he was prophesying when he said those words. (Quotes taken from our new video, “Trinity Broadcast Network, A Temple To The Gods & Goddesses.)

Saddam Hussein Enters The PictureMost of us are familiar with the atrocities of Saddam Hussein. He kills like a madman, totally without conscience. The murders and merciless slaughters in Kuwait were documented beyond question. Pictures of entire towns of the Kurds in Northern Iraq being wiped out with poison gas have been made available to the world via television. Yet, he has become an apparent friend of members of the Catholic organization known as the Knights of Malta, and with various Charismatic leaders. Since he is building the capitol of the New World Order according to the primary prophets of the Old Testament and the Book of Revelation, do they see him in a future role? Has their demon sources provided them with revelations of some evil rehearsal for the end times?Anyone who has been reading this publication for the last ten years will remember the things I have suggested at different times about Babylon and Saddam Hussein. His survival cannot be discounted. The Charismatics have now entered his world. According to Rick Joyner, a friend of Kurt Waldheim and a member of the Catholic organization, the Knights of Malta, arranged the meeting between Paul Cain and Saddam Hussein. This meeting was so important that the “Lord Jesus Christ” is credited with directing all the details and causing it all to happen. I hope you can see the picture of how the false is being credited with connection to the true Son of God. Please read carefully as I quote Paul Cain telling about his visit. The entire story is intriguing, but let’s begin with their arrival in Baghdad.”

The Lord really got us there. When we got there we were given the red carpet treatment and allowed to stay in a guest house in part of the presidential palace. That was not bad at all (laughter). That evening, we had our first meeting . . . (Minister of Foreign Affairs and, later, the Deputy Prime Minister). And, on day two, our visit with President Saddam Hussein at his palace . . . But, after the initial greetings, I started the meeting with President Saddam Hussein by repenting on the part of America for what we’ve done to that nation, to him, and to his people. And, I nearly lost control. I tell you I was just on the verge of losing control because I thought of the round table meeting we had here and how God met with us in that round table over here in the other building (Morningstar Ministries, Pineville, NC) and how God used repentance in such a forthright way, in such a powerful way . . . Just before sobbing, both of us began to cry. Saddam Hussein began, tears began to come. If it hadn’t been for calling this in check immediately, there would have been the strangest sight I think the world could ever see . . . This, so called, madman breaking to pieces and everybody knew what was about to happen. He said some of the most powerful things and I am very much shocked and surprised that the madman that we were supposed to meet turned out to be a family man, turned out to be somebody that made some bad mistakes in the past. But, turned out to be someone humble enough to say some things that would blow your mind. You could just sit there and feel the spirit that he employed when he said this. It’s true that this man is a very dominant military leader, but he is not a madman. All of Iraq seems to love this man. The Christian church, especially, seems to love him . . .”He said, ‘I have never found an answer as to what America has gained by vilifying Iraq unless I look to the spiritual. (Notice that statement.) God must have wanted to humble us.’ Does that sound like a madman? Does that sound like a madman? When he would speak of our president as the most powerful man on the face of the earth that God had raised up, the United States as being the last of the great super powers . . .; President Hussein replied with this, ‘President Clinton is not only the hope of America, he’s the hope of Iraq, and he’s the hope of the whole world.’ (This was before Clinton’s second election.)”Paul Cain then reported that Saddam said, “But what ultimately brought peace was when God gave him wisdom. Almighty God gave him his wisdom to go and sit down with his enemies and to reason with them . . .”We talked to him about the church in Iraq and asked him hard questions about different religions in Iraq. He said, ‘Iraq is the only Arab nation where you will find Christians and Moslems, all kinds of Moslems and Christians living side by side.’ He said that this diversity and tolerance goes all the way to the top of the government.

I found that striking that the Deputy Prime Minister was a Catholic and his wife was a Spirit-filled Christian. It was really not what we expected.”Everything about this story is intriguing. Mr. Cain spent an entire evening with the Deputy Prime Minister, who was the Catholic, and his wife, apparently, a Charismatic. He said they talked for several hours. I’m searching for information on other meetings that Paul Cain, Rick Joyner, or other Charismatic leaders may have had with Saddam Hussein. I am convinced that this is an ongoing dialogue and that the city of Babylon has been a part of their discussion. Watch for more on the subject of Charismatics, Catholics, and the city of Babylon. The Catholic Church And New Wave CharismaticsThe language of the Charismatic world is becoming increasingly Catholic. You read the earlier quote from the publication, “Prepare For War,” where they actually called communion the “Eucharist.” That’s Catholic trans-substantiation or the supernatural transformation of the bread and wine into His body and blood.A recent article in the leading Charismatic publication, “Charisma,” told of a phenomenon concerning a loaf of bread being the source of multiple miracles. This particular church regularly gives its members pieces of the loaf to give to the sick and the lost, and they say that they are healed or saved by the eating of it. (Please read the side article on “The Catholic Eucharist: Charismatics.”) A large percentage of the church world is totally swayed when this kind of conversion or miracle occurs regardless of the source. We know that no true conversion to Jesus Christ can be accepted if the doctrines and events are the work of evil spirits. If a true conversion occurred in the presence of evil, the transformed heart would certainly be quickly moved to separate itself. Many paranormal and deceiving signs are going to flood the church world. The only safe soul is the one hidden in the Word of God and ready to judge everything on the basis of the truth alone. No wonder the battle cry of Pensacola, Toronto, the Trinity Broadcast Network, etc. has become, “God is bigger than His Word,” or “Don’t Put God in a Box or a Book.” They have got to get their subjects out of the Bible or their deception will not last. Thousands have already been delivered from the New Wave doctrines because they finally came back or never really became comfortable with anything not clearly a part of Holy Scripture.

Apostle Paul warned of this deception when he said, “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:8-12).Notice the reason for their damnation was that they “believed not the truth.” When you reject or replace truth, your damnation becomes unquestionable unless you repent. Many shall not find their way back to the safe haven of the Holy Book. The New World Order – It’s RealThe Bible clearly warned of a religious led New World Order. It would be impossible to unite the world unless a religious consensus could be first experienced. The entire idea of this one world system is awaiting the One World Church. No wonder the president of America will go out of his way to meet with the pope of Rome. Bill Clinton probably agrees with nothing Pope John Paul believes or promotes; yet, it becomes imperative to play the part. The Bible warns of this “harlot-led” and despicable system. John the Revelator shows the picture of her power to corrupt the whole world. ” . . . Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters; with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.” (Revelation 17:1-6).It’s amazing to watch in the Scripture how she is used by the political world to unite the people, but then be hated and betrayed by the very system she helps create. John, by the Spirit, told of her unalterable destiny. “And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.” (Revelation 17:16-17).The New World Order is real! While the persons spoken of in this article may be of little consequence in the total picture; the events and languages are prophetic to the final story. The entire world is being readied for the end times fulfillment.
