WORKSHOPS
The Hegewisch Baptist Church workshops are designed to teach the fundamentals of the Deliverance Ministry while also offering time for participants to receive one on one deliverance prayer. Teaching people about Spiritual Warfare and Deliverance and then not offering a time to pray is likened to, ”being doers of the Word and not Hearers only.”
The Hegewisch Baptist Church holds four (4) Deliverance Workshops annually. One of these Workshops is a Men’s Leadership Conference held in January of each year. The Men’s Conference is designed to keep the Men together in a relaxed atmosphere of fellowship and education concerning the Deliverance Ministry. HBC caters in the evening meals on Friday and Saturday to help keep the fellowship as intimate as possible.
Our three regular Workshops are held in April, July and October each year. These are Family Workshops and all are welcome to attend.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, It is with great pleasure we send you our April 2008 Workshop Flier. This will be HBC’s 86th Deliverance Conference. Over the years, many have come through our doors seeking and receiving real, lasting help. The Word of God reveals many ways for us to have a more intimate walk with our Savior. Of course, all such doctrines revolve around our obedience and faithfulness to the Lord. This is first and paramount. However, if there is evidence of demonic activity in the believer’s life, then the Word of God gives us clear revelation in what to do. These demonic forces must be confronted and then exorcized (cast out) in Jesus name. There is no other relief offered in the Word of God. Demons cannot be sung out, praised out, imagined out, wished out, or thought out. They must be cast out, in Jesus name (Mark16:17a).
Our adversary is very cleaver. He IS the “father of lies”. In the flesh, we are no match against his wiles. In fact, Satan has made tremendous inroads into the church today. In many circles, the Word of God now takes a back seat to the many man made helps that are offered. In addition, the two-edged sword of God’s Word has been replaced with a one edged sword. Yes, it is sharp on one side, but non existent on the other side. Growing up, our parents taught us what to do. But they also taught us what not to do, sometimes with much resistance on our part. Many pulpits are doing the same thing today. They are correctly preaching the truth of what God’s Word tells us to do. Unfortunately, these same pulpits are not using the other side of the sword, which tells us what NOT to do. This is a “live and let live” gospel that has cheapened the Word of God and has literally forced God out of many churches. Think about it. How many of us really like being told what not to do. Well, the Word of God is chalked full of these admonitions, such as Ephesians 5:11, “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”
I hope to see you this April. You will hear and partake in sound doctrine and have an opportunity to get relief from the affects that evil spirits have had on your life.

*Workshop badges will be required for Friday morning through Saturday night, Thursday evening & Sunday morning will be a regular open service. There will be no Sunday evening service. Deliverance will be ministered Thursday, Friday & Saturday evening And Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Parents: workshop sessions are planned for individuals mature enough to participate in the studies. We will be in the house of the lord. So please wear appropriate attire. Those inappropriately dressed will be dismissed from the workshop.
